The secret to blending acrylics! How to blend acrylics in 2 easy steps!
Do you struggle with Acrylic Blending? Would you like some of my tips and tricks for easy blending?
If the answer is yes, then this is the video for you!
Acrylic blending made easy with this simple 2 step technique. How to blend acrylics and create great effects for skies and learn how to get a smooth blend, without the frustration. Acrylic Blending is something a lot of artists struggle with, but Acrylic Blending can be easy and fun. In this video I will talk you through a blending process from start to finish, showing real time results, how to correct mistakes and overcome common obstacles when blending. Blend like a pro and more importantly enjoy the process.
Acrylic blending is made super easy with this technique, all the equipment needed is a sponge and a mop brush. You can also apply the paint with a larger brush, I just used the sponge for the blending demonstration and because most beginners find using a sponge easier to apply paint.
In this video I will show you my secret to easy Acrylic Blending, along with tips and tricks to correct mistakes and get a better, streak free result.
Let me know how you get on in the comments, I'd love to hear if this technique works for you and answer any questions that you have.

This is the best tutorial out there. You did something that the majority of tutorials don't do. You told us when to wash our brushes and sponges. I am new to this so I never know if I should use a new brush or sponge which ruins my paintings. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.

Is it better with a touch of water or does it depend what look you are looking for?
@IdyllicAcrylicArt
@IdyllicAcrylicArt 10 ай бұрын
It honestly depends on the brand and type of acrylics you are using. Cheaper brands like acrylic basic probably won't need any or much water, more expensive and thicker paint will need a little water or medium. To make it really easy slow dry medium would be your best friend for blending, especially skies. It really does make it easier for beginners. Also the thinner the paint, the less coverage you will get, so the look you are going for will determine how thin your paint is too. Thanks for watching! 😊

if i would drop the paint onto the canvas just like you did my paint dries
@IdyllicAcrylicArt
@IdyllicAcrylicArt 3 жыл бұрын
I didn't add any acrylic paint mediums, but if you find your paint dries quickly you could add something to slow the drying process. Such as retarder or even airbrush medium to thin the paint slightly. 😊

Can you tell me best papers to paint and blend. I want to use blend as a background for my calligraphy works
@IdyllicAcrylicArt
@IdyllicAcrylicArt 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching 😊You can buy acrylic paper, or even use water colour paper for acrylic paints. I would recommend using a thicker paper (over 300 gsm) so it won't lose it's shape, especially if you intend to thin the paint with water or a medium.

Here is a link to see the sponge I used and I have also put a link in the description. www.amazon.com/Painting-Synthetic-Watercolors-Cleaning-Ceramics/dp/B07WNLNSW1/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=art+sponges&qid=1609634270&sr=8-5
