Mitch’s video editing is outstanding. I caught a yellow-tagged walleye in April on the Menominee River and reported it online to the WI DNR. They responded within 1 week with details for the fish, which I was impressed and thankful. Don’t be a hater on the men and women doing their job to protect our fisheries, with limited funding from the state legislature.

I grew up on the Menominee near the dam. About 30 years ago I caught 3 walleyes the same day that all had the yellow spaghetti tags in their back from WIDNR. When I sent them in they responded saying all 3 of those fish had been tagged together, 61 days earlier in the Fox River at the DePere Dam. Dang those fish get around.! So much for people saying they eat walleye but not out of the FoX….lol

Every year I go up to Kaiashkon Lake in Ontario for the Walleye opener. We fish out of small alumacraft jon boats with no tech. Usually the strategy is troll to find them, but we struggle with jigging especially when there's choppy water, the boats really get pushed around and move off point. I ended up hooking a 30-inch tank and a handful of 24-27 inch Walleye's but was still a few short of the limit. I need to figure out a better way to jig so we can really focus on the smaller fish. Probably going to rig a portable anchor since they're usually in the same relative place every time.

Hey Tom what would you suggest doing for an approach when you find a school of wallleyes on the edge of a big flat that the boat spooks the fish if too close or if you sit 30 feet from them or so and pitch a jig at them they also spooked. Tried a slip bobber with a leech and that also spooks them. Casted a little ways past them and drug toward them and they just weren’t interested at what I had to give them. Move on or keep throwing the tackle box at them? Lol

When logging in, it says I have no subscription and then it lets me in when I go in a second time. Also, I'm old, and was trying to use my Apple TV to watch your content on the television. It will not work. I just get the screen with the computer shape in it. (Everything else seems to work just fine) Finally, I've asked Acme a couple of times. No answer. Personally I don't care which format you use, I am just trying to learn how to catch walleyes :) A few extra minutes showing rigging in detail would be helpful.. you usually rip thru your set up in 20 seconds, fine for those who know, but not as easy for those of us new to this type of fishing.. maybe even a "top 5 walleye rods/ set ups for newbies" ???

It’s a chain of 13 lakes or so, it’s a river system, has bigger water and very small water! It will challenge you and your patience guaranteed! It has so much of what you describe on your typical lakes, but it’s a huge challenge!!
