It was really nice to see this demonstrated by a coach with a little bit of upper body mass. It is hard to relate to whip skinny yoga-masters who have ridiculous drops. This imprints much better for those of use with a little size. Thanks.

everything happens on the side of the body = best tip ever. I exaggerate not. this is going to be my new go to video that I will book mark and come back to again and again. I am a senior citizen new to tennis and the serve has been a real bugaboo. I push the ball instead of pronating or snapping the wrist, possibly due to wrist pain. But this video gives me hope that I can learn what you are teaching here 🙏🏻. in fact, I played tennis this morning, and when serving, I was trying to come from the side of the body (per your tip) and there seemed to be some improvement, now I need to pronate.

Loved your video 🎉. In your option , why do so many other coaches teach a higher toss and a staggered arms (tossing arm going up while the racquet arm is down) motion when a 1-2 service rhythm like yours clearly is easier to master for the majority of players? Thank you 🙏🏽 in advance.

I don't think a longer swing is wrong. But if you look at all the big servers coming up the swing is becoming more compact

Great Instruction, was wondering, do we also need to incorporate those other tips espoused by all youtube coaches, 1. lead with the edge 2. Turn palm outwards upon contact or as you put it, simply snap and that's it. Thank you
@pieterbeckertenniscoaching58089 ай бұрын
The edge rule of good. But o don't like forcing the palm out. It will happen automatically of you do the right things before contacting the ball
@zak24079 ай бұрын
Some typos above so a little unclear, so leading with the edge is good, what are the right things to do before making contact please? Thank you @@pieterbeckertenniscoaching5808

Doing the pronation, but how? In the way you show it most of the players who are not use to "relax" their arm will hurt their wrist and elbow... you people need to learn about biomechanical principals and how does the body works or you will get a lot people out of tennis, because of injuries!
@pieterbeckertenniscoaching58089 ай бұрын
In this video I show exactly how😉
@monstertrucktennis7 ай бұрын
Your demo swings and actual swings look completely different to me. Watch at .25 speed or slower. Especially the movement of the wrist. Your actual serves look great. The demos? Not so much.

Interesting!

More specifically the amount of flexion in the wrist. I like a flexion in the wrist at address. Perhaps not as much as Raonic though😮. I look for a more neutral, relaxed wrist pre and post racquet drop. I think neutral position facilitates pronation. Just my .02 Keep up the good work.@pieterbeckertenniscoaching5808
