Love your use of bright colors with everything you have made on your wall as well as the sewing mannequin. One of my fave things to do is make napkins, I made them many moons ago, now I have a better serger and I look forward to using it, I find your serging instruction interesting and informative, and I will check out your other videos.

I actually have the L860 that is the same as L890 w/o cover stitch. Kept my Triumph for chain/cover and wave stitch -- the best of both worlds!

Love your tips and tricks! Thank you for adding info on rolled hem setting on the L890.

On the L890 you may find you have to increase your lower looper tension to 7 or 8. Test it.

Hello…I am new to serging and have just now found your videos. They are wonderful. I want to make reversible napkins…2 different fabrics of course. Will a rolled hem work with 2 layers please?

What are you using in the needle please?

Hello. Thank you for this great information. Very helpful. Can you please tell me why it is only the right needle? Can a rolled hem be done with the left needle instead to make it wider? I’m not sure I understand.

Sorry for my late reply. I think it needs to be closer to the knife. It is a great question. Not entirely sure but I have only ever seen rolled hem with the left needle.

Typically a rolled hem disengages the stitch finger-this will decrease control over wider stitches (which are used in “wide” stitches. Without the stitch finger there is no longer a way to guide the wider thread loops when you use the O1 (left) needle,,you can try a wide overlock stitch with a low stitch length but the coverage may not be as good
