So excited for the stream, my dad had lymphoma and spent two years in and out of the hospital. I think what really helped him was his gaming laptop he bought himself for his long stays. So seeing how that can be helpful for him, I can’t imagine how grateful these family’s are to have this resource. Though we weren’t directly effected by those carts, I still want to say thank you for doing this charity as a kid of a cancer victim 💙

Im here, once again, to mention a monorail. It could run out of the mountain and around the city. Maybe there’s a car sticking out of the tunnel. You enter the train car and somehow that’s your bunker entrance. Drop down in the train car? Secret lever that opens the back of the train car? Something like that.

Yep, it's not a visual style, it's a conceptual theme. And most dystopias tend to look like utopias at the surface level because they keep their dark side hidden. (Utopia is pretty much impossible, really. It's always going to be a secret dystopia.) What if sponges could be enchanted to have more uses before considered soaked, to be dried more efficiently, and to affect a larger area? Three enchantments like that on a sponge would make raiding an ocean monument much more appealing while increasing the potential value of each sponge you find. I think this would also balance out the fact that they cannot be farmed via any sort of mob grinder.

Back in the 90's I was stuck in a kids ward for 2 weeks due to a blood infection. Back then we had carts too, it was a picture tube telly and a N64 with a few controllers. The kid in the bed next to me was also named Matt, we used to play games like Mario Kart and Diddy Kong Racing together. It made the time go soo much faster! It's a fantastic idea that I'm glad they never got rid of!

Generally, street numbers on a grid are ordinal, but often the descriptors (avenue vs street) will be used to designate north/south or east/west. House or building numbers are often Even/Odd for left and right sides of the street. Annoyingly, while the main city in my area is pretty consistant (avenue east/west, streets north/south) and numbers increasing going north or west. (the origin was placed outside initial development, so the centre is 100,100, smaller town 50,50) but surrounding communities…. gah. Some swap the street and avenue scheme, and at least one INVERTS the numbering… Still better than the nearest major metropolitan area which set it’s city centre at 1,1… so every address has a NW/SW/NE/SE appended to it, and you have to do coordinate conversion in your head when trying to figure out where to go. Their hockey team sucks too, so it’s kinda a thing with them.

I'm like Gem. I don't watch TV or movies, I only watch youtube. But ATLA is one of the few series I've watched all the way through despite its length (normally past 1 season is near impossible for me to finish). Perfect blend of comedy and action, child friendly but not childish, downtime but no Filler episodes, good character development. The only other series that's done the same for me is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (although that's definitely not aimed at children).

Couple of thoughts on the tunnel: 1) it is tempting to think of entering a tunnel from the end, but it is conceivable that the drop entrance used by the players just drops them at a "midpoint" rather than being the "entrance". Secondly, check out the Malinta tunnel (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malinta_Tunnel)...it might provide some good inspiration for the tunnel itself. (fun fact, there is an overnight ghost tour of the tunnel, if you're feeling brave 🤣)

Can I suggest gamers outreach to support sick adults as well. I've been in and out of the hospital all my life due to being born with a life long medical condition and while this would have helped me as a kid, I'm an adult now, and think it would help moral for adults to be allowed to game as well. Or are adults not allowed to have fun? Of course the kids come first, but I think many of us could benefit from something like this.
