Trench system was massive. You are most likely right HH, it was quite rough and unfinished because of the amount of water seeping in. Just imagine if it could have been completed. Cable trenches were interesting with all of the crates, gear, and metal piping still there. The secret 6m machine gun turret access was intriguing. Great catch. Can't believe all of the almost intact Schneider Guns located at that site. A major piece of history preserved. Thank you HH and EE for taking us there.

A marvellous location which, due to its remoteness, is like an undisturbed WW2 Nazi time-capsule. What they were planning on building in those tunnels? "Touching History" and I couldn't help smiling. This, this is why it is a pleasure to support you. Bringing us places like this. Showing us History that we ourselves may never see. The bunkers and tunnels alone are spectacular, but, that gun, just sitting there as if she only fired her last round yesterday. Now that was just a stunning, and truly amazing, sight. And those blocked up tunnels, especially the last one with the saw horses still sitting there where they were left, and that collapsed structure leading upwards. This site already has shown us strange sights, gun wheels strewn around in odd places, recoil mechanisms just left in the gun pits, and tunnels and rock cut trenches everywhere. Mysteries and enigmas all around. Most definitely, this is one of the most spectacular places we have seen. Thanks to our HH Team, and their amazing efforts. Cheers my friends! Stay Safe!

Just came across your channel and I absolutely love it! Although I don't use it for work or anything today, the degree I got years ago at college was in history and I tended to focus mostly on this era/conflict (when given the option.) The fact that you get to explore these places with your son who is also interested in this stuff makes it even better! I got a few boys of my own and were way across the pond, but I dream of getting to do stuff like this with them one day when they aren't so little.

You were correct, this was worth waiting for, the last gun is in fabulous condition for the age just sitting outside in all types of harsh weather. The second tunnel was a beautiful hard rock job and I concur that they found that channeling the water out was becoming an issue. Did EE every find the hilltop hatch you found? Okay I guess I will wait for the next part. Stay safe and well both of you out there. Did EE drag that Schnider home with him?

Agree William , so worth waiting for and those guns are just magic out there in the terrain pointing the same direction as they were left once. No we did not spot the opening on the top so i think it is buried somehow. EE could not drag one of them out :) Thanks William :)

Another wonderful video. Very impressive seeing the complete gun especially in the position as if it was getting ready to fire. Always exciting when you stumble upon tunnels and are able to get inside. It’s just amazing home much the Germans built and never finished or used. On to the next episode of this adventure.

The big canon at 8:49 seems to be made in France, next to the city I grown up in Bourges, center of France. If I am not wrong we had a big weapon industry at the time. And now we still have some weapons factories such as "Nexter". Unfortunately that's all the knowledge I have.

The shaft going up from the tunnel is a mystery. I believe we’ve seen something similar in some of your other videos. I thought maybe a launch site for some type of small rocket the Germans were developing but they would have to install blast doors to protect the personnel. Love seeing the complete guns. They give a better idea as to the size of them and how they were rotated in the gun pits. This location hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Liking the new tunes HH. That first tunnel looked a bit spooky. Wonder what all that wood was for? Maybe something 🤔 was built to make it more comfy as there was a bunker oven there. Schneider Gun WAS the real deal definitely positioned for action. Yes, do be careful EE. Great find in regards to the wooden ammo box EE. So much to see there. Thks HH & EE. Stay safe you 2.❤
