The fun thing about football is even the simplest moments have a seemingly infinite number of outcomes. When Michigan and Michigan State faced off in 2015 there was always bound to be plenty on the line regardless of circumstances for each side. But the way these school's paths played out for years leading up to this game seemed to force fate to end their showdown with some fireworks. Enjoy.

I’ll always remember where I was for this play. About a dozen friends of mine had commandeered an apartment complex’s lounge to watch the stream on a big projector. It was on about a 45 second delay, and absolutely everyone was miserably awaiting the year of mockery that was ahead of us. We turn our attention to the screen to watch the U of M kicker seal our fate when one of the girls reads out a text she’d received “DID YOU SEE WHAT JUST HAPPENED???” And then we saw the biggest miracle unfold. There was so much screaming and running and hugging you would’ve thought we’d just heard we won World War 2. The long walk home in EL was amazing too, people running through the streets, dancing, you could hear shouting of GO GREEN about 20 times a minute. A day to remember, certainly.p

It just happened but you guys HAVE TO do a rewind sometime on the Chargers-Raiders Week 18 SNF tie and they’re both in the playoffs scenario and how low the odds were of this happening, how Jacksonville upset the Colts, Steelers beat Ravens in OT, Herbert’s crazy heroics to tie the game and how Steeler fans were so nervous in OT. There’s so many storylines to rewind with this video, how the Raiders made the playoffs for just the 2nd time since 2002 with a mid season coaching change from the Gruden situation, as well as the crimes of Ruggs and Damon Arnette. Big Ben potentially playing his final game ever if a tie occurred and how the Raiders chose to send Pittsburgh to the playoffs instead of their hated division rivals by choosing to kick the FGs. This game and crazy 1st ever week 18 would be PERFECT to make a deep rewind video on! I love this channel so much, hope y’all see this keep it up

As a MSU fan, a couple things to add to the context. In 2014, Michigan players planted a stake before the MSU vs U of M game at Spartan Stadium even though they were having a terrible season. It just speaks to the Michigan arrogance. Michigan and their fans were always cocky. The Mike Hart comment set it over the top and, even though Michigan would start to lose to MSU after that, the arrogance persisted. U of M teams would be undefeated in 2 of the 3 Denard Robinson years (2010-2012) before facing MSU. The talk of Michigan being back and how their were going to beat State would be thick in the air. Only to see them fall on their face. That 2015 season, MSU fans I’m sure were annoyed by all the U of M attention. They hadn’t done anything in years prior and were being bragged about just because of Harbaugh. Yeah, they had some big defensive performances but they had one loss while MSU was undefeated with a big early season win over Oregon. MSU won the Cotton Bowl the year prior and the B1G Championship and the Rose Bowl the year before that. Michigan had been irrelevant in those years. So the fact that they were favored and being picked to win was so disrespectful as a Spartan. Obviously, Michigan played a great game. MSU couldn’t execute when they need to up until this point. MSU fans were hoping Dantonio could pull something out on the last play. Over the years, he had a proficiency with special team trick plays. MSU ran numerous fake field goals and fake punts. You were just hoping they could get a hand on the ball and have a chance for a Hail Mary. But when this play happened, I couldn’t believe it. The fact we not only had the ball but we were running downfield with it was unbelievable. I was yelling for Watts Jackson to run out of bounds so we could run one last play, thinking that he couldn’t get past the U of M players around him. When he crossed the goal line, I ran out of the room. It was so insane, I couldn’t believe what had happened. I remember my Uncle calling me saying, “Can you believe it!?” It sucks that Watts Jackson broke his hip on the play. The entire team started to dog pile him, which had to be immensely painful, and he had to yell and swat them away so they could realize he was injured. I wish he could have been able to celebrate with his brothers in that moment. “Trouble with the snap” is one of my favorite football game moments to recall, let alone MSU vs U of M moments. The shocked expressions on the U of M fans faces after this play is something that never gets old. Go Green!

In the early 00s, there was a Monday night football game, new england at Denver that really established brady as a Broncos fan. Down 3 in the final minutes, the pats gave up a safety instead of punting, flipping field position in hopes their D could get the stop and the ball for brady and the go a head. It deserves something because I've never seen anything like it and can't find anything about it anywhere.

I don’t know if this video has a Michigan bias, anti-big ten bias, anti-non-superpower bias, or is just fitting some of the trolly, light hearted atmosphere of the traditional secret base vid. This really undersells Mark Dantonio’s role in the big ten from 2010-2015, and undermines his program building as a whole. All good, though, the real ones know. huge missed opportunity not the mention Michigan punter Blake O'Neill's 80-yard punt earlier in the game. the ball left his foot at his own 5-yard line, and finally came to rest at the 2-yard line on the opposite side of the field. best goddamn punt I have ever seen in my life. but no one talks about it because, you know, something else he did that game

I watched that game live and it made me feel about the same as I did when the Patriots Malcolm Butler made the interception that changed that game outcome. and the look Richard Sherman had. It matched the faces of Harbaugh and the Michigan fans. I enjoyed the KZbin videos of the Seattle fans they recorded while watching at their homes and bars. the Michigan defeat was so good for me because since 1963 I've hated the Wolverines. I lived in Ann Arbor 1963 and attended the Navy-Michigan game, with Roger Staubach QB for Navy. He have won the Heisman the year before and he was known as Roger the Dodger. He ran around alluding he superior U.M. players and would either get a 1st down running around in circles it seemed or throwing for a gain. He was dominating the game. Until a U.M. linebacker who got tired of chasing Roger hit him way out of bounds after a scramble and drove Staubach into the bench. The 15 yard penalty was rewarded by a hamstring or heel injury bad enough to limit Roger the Dodger the Roger the statue , where Michigan dominated Navy. Ruining a very entertaining game. I moved to Utah after that and have be a Utes football fan and it has be fun to have beat the Wolverine every time we've played them.

I remember this game vividly. Me and my brothers were pulling for MSU, thought it was over so we started shuffling around the living room and kitchen grabbing snacks or something. I wasn’t paying any attention to the game until I heard my brother started saying “no way….no way!! NO WAY!!!!!” I turned around and saw MSU scoop and score

I remember watching this. Standing next to my brother, in stunned silence. And then BOOM 💥 MSU recovers the botched snap and returns it for a TD!!! My brother leaps into my arms like a big baby and we start running around like maniacs yelling V4MSU infront of the rest of the family who all are Wolverine fans, who wore that cocky smirk right before this happened. Their smirk turned to a frown really quick. It was one of the best football moments I’ve ever watched. “It’s not over, it will never be over. It’s just getting started”. MSU football is 10-4 against Michigan in the last 14 season’s.

Crazy being a Michigan fan I was at work getting ready to put out food for a wedding and I asked a coworkers what was the score on a game and he said that we were up 10 seconds left in the game. A few hours later get a little bit of time turn my phone on to read about the game and we lost I thought he was playing with me. I went off on him he was like yeah I was up with like 10 seconds left so the highlights and I’m like all man smh. Over the past few years we have had some crazy endings with Michigan State...

What an insane play! This reminds me of the night Dennis Green went off. As a Bears fan being undefeated at the time and getting our butts kicked, then Devin Hester returns one for TD. Ran around our college dorm high fiving everyone. Ahhhh good times. Would love to see a deep rewind of that, especially after the double doink rewind! (sobbing continues)

I feel like you should do a dive into the fall of Nebraska football. They were the Alabama of the 90s, have some of the greatest teams of all time ('71, '95) and today they are possibly the worst P5 school in the nation with almost no hope of climbing out of the basement

Now that harbaugh has a championship with Michigan, are we going to get a rewinder for that game too?
@luke_darga
@luke_darga 7 ай бұрын
My best guess is that the Rose Bowl is going to get the rewinder. It was a better game overall than the National Championship, broke Michigan’s tendencies of losing big bowl games/CFP games under Harbaugh, and it marked Saban’s last ever game as well. The moment of Milroe running into the back of his O-Line isn’t the most impressive athletic play, but it closed the book on an incredible amount of history behind both Michigan and Alabama, the two winningest programs of all time.
