This is genius. I don't get why more manufacturers don't follow suit with this type of product. The material tends to fail quicker than the actual chair 9 times out of 10.

Interested in the skin but definitely not worth $169 USD. I would pay maybe $60 for just a skin. This is pretty over-priced.

I believe it's for the people who want the special edition chairs that they purchased the older models when they first came out. So now they can get these new chairs without spending a ton or the fact that you can pay for the basic chair. That's more of available in stock and just change out the design when they come out with this

@@animetree9379 the regular secret lab chairs are too expensive for me msrp so I got one used for 300 and 2 of these skins all for the price of one

I’d be really interested if it has the benefits of the fabric where it stays cooler compared to the synthetic leather. If I could throw this on in the summer and stay cooler that’s be awesome

it definitely would in my opinion, the fabric won't absorb as much heat as the leather would on your bare skin.

This is pretty interesting. I have the Arctic White chair which I love the colour of, but unfortunately it's gotten stained pretty badly, and I've tried my best to clean it to no luck. Might get one of these to put on top of it and then be able to wash easily when needed.

I bought one and got the same in the video. Trust me it will be an awesome buy. I am thinking of getting another one now since I can just wash it when needed and for some change.

yeah I thought it was cute getting the mint green labs chair, I tried to clean it with my little green machine and now it looks like I pee'd myself and I can't get the stains gone haha xD

Same, I have the arctic white and accidentally spilled some juice onto the seat a while ago and now it looks horrible. Their cleaning products couldn't get the stain out. I tried just about everything else too. Finally bought the skin and now it looks good as new. The magnetic pillow has a bit of a problem staying on with the skin on though.

My cat is wrecking my fabric one more than my leather just keep it in mind as the cat finds it the material good for scratching haha

I got the gryffindor skin for my girlfriend's chair and got a Slytherin one for mine. So I appreciate the special edition version. I have the attack on Titan one now, so being able to switch them out is super cool imo.

Thanks good video. Now I know these skins won’t fit my chair. I have some crack on ,y seat near the front of the chair. I’ll have to buy a new chair. It has lasted four years no issues except this one now.

Is the fabric thick enough to be cat proof? Like thats the only reason i'd buy it

I made the mistake of not washing a pair of black leggings before using them, so after I had sat on my light pink chair the fabric was stained a dull grey 😨 I bought a skin (in pink, ofc 😉) and was able to put it on my chair without any fuss. Very happy, and the fact that they're washable is very reassuring as well 😊

you can use a carpet cleaner to remove the stains (the one that sprays water and then suck it back) it works surprisingly well, im buying a leather chair and im buying a skin also to have a different option

I didn’t do much research and got the leatherette witcher 3 chair. I get hot easily because the material retains heat. I should of gotten the soft weave. Do you think getting a skin will help with that?

Drawbacks with both materials. PU cracking and softwave tearing. My best guess would be mesh all over is the best bet for a chair.

just put some memory foam or any kind of cushioning between the original and your skin, and you'll have softness i guess? I'm looking to do the same thing, everything else about the chair is perfect but that backrest ...

Was the skin fairly close to being flush on the back of the chair or did yours come overly tought and springy

I got my first Skins cover and I went to look up on this exact issue, I guess it's just not me, it's not quite form fitting and it can be uncomfortable against the back to feel the cover sticking out a bit instead of being form fitting. I've tried pulling it in as much as I possibly can and it's still not resting on the back rest properly. I'm wondering if simply sitting against it over time will help, but at the moment, for the price, I'm not feeling convinced. Have you seen any improvement since you made your comment?
