I encountered many of the same thoughts while chair shopping recently. The softer seat should just be the default or at least a modest up-charge option for the base chair. Great video. Keep it up and your channel is sure to grow.

@@sleeksetups the plush armrests alone are worth $80, new much softer "nano" leatherette with nicer sewing (no wobbly lines this time) lets say $70 extra, new seatbase "nano" foam like $50? makes it $200. Add extra $50 for marketing, modified armrests, better piston etc. = $250 difference Compare it rather to the exotic / branded versions, not to the cheapest possible Evo 2022 model :D It's not that much difference then.

@@rdtsc7717 idk what you're trying to say. This is a review based on what I think is worth it or not after testing over 100 different chairs. What is "worth it" is completely subjective and is what I'm trying to assess here based on the real-world benefits they provide compared to what you're getting in the original. And just to be clear. Just because Secretlab CHARGES $80 for the Plush Armrests does not mean they are WORTH $80. That's the whole point. If you're gonna buy the chair, then buy the chair. I'm not here to change the mind of someone already set on buying the chair. This video isn't for you if you already know what you want... It's for people who genuinely don't know if it's worth an extra $250 over the original and in my opinion, it's not. Also, comparing it to the other Exotic options makes no sense in the context of a review like this because most people who are debating buying this version are not choosing between this and another exotic option. They just want a Secretlab chair and want to see if the NEWEST premium option is worth it over the most POPULAR version.

My black edition will arrive Friday. I know it’s a lot of money, but after looking at a ton of chair reviews, I just kept coming back to the Titan Evo (it was between this and the Fractal Refine but in the end I liked the overall look of the Titan better), and once I found out there was a new gen, I couldn’t bring myself buy the “old” one. The more expensive true office chairs were also more than I was willing to spend. No matter what this is going to be a huge upgrade from my father’s old accounting chair that was probably from the 80’s lol. Found out just after I ordered this that four of my coworkers have the Titan Evo (one has an even older model), and they all love them.

On another person's video on the chair, I posted comments that are similar to yours. I posted that the new foam should be the replacement for their cold-cure foam. At least, the foam and leatherette should've been an option, not separate, overpriced model of the Titan. As an owner of a very old and deteriorating Titan for 6.5 years, I actually got used to the seat. I would've bought the NanoGen Edition, if it came with the above options - I would've preferred it with the SoftWeave upholstery, and with the standard armrests - and a reasonable price. Instead, I ordered a remanufactured Leap v2 from Crandall Office Furniture. Secretlab gives me the impression that they don't have to work hard for business. They offered no Black Friday/Cyber Monday discount on the NanoGen Edition, and only a $30 discount on the regular Titan Evo. It's bad enough that their warranty and return policy are pretty bad. If Secretlab doesn't want my money, then fine. But if they do, they'll have to work much harder than this for it.

Nice review. I am currently searching for a new chair to use primarily for gaming. I decided to treat myself and go top tier. I got the Hermin Miller Embody and returned it because the back dug into my upper back. Tried the Aeron and it was a no go too. For the price I need it to be perfect for me. I went cheap and got a Hon Ignition 2.0 but hate it as well and going to return it. I was looking for a review of this chair and you did a fantastic job on this one. I was seriously considering it but the stiff seat is souring me on it. My search continues.

I own the omega 2020, and have been using it since 2020. After 4 years of using it, I can say that aside from the looks of their chair, there's nothing really special for these chairs. Lumbar and seat are not all that ergonomic. If you're buying this chair because it looks cool, go for it. But if you're buying in hopes that the chair's actually comfortable than other ergonomic chair, stay clear from secret lab. Their website shows positive reviews though my assumptions are that the reviews are probably filtered to only show the good stuff.

The idea that the titan evo is rock hard is ridiculous. Im literally sitting in it right now. Its firm, but no it does not hurt at all after sitting in it all day. It's comfortable. In fact, i notice how shit every chair i sit in is now because of this chair. I think the real problem is people are too pampered by a cushion chair that doesnt help support your body at all, or theyre not taking breaks to stretch like theyre supposed to. If you need a cushioned seat, then no dont buy a secretlab chair. But if you want something good for you that'll stand the test of time, go for it.

Hi, Thanks for this amazing review. What do you think about lower backrest firmness? When compared to Regular Titan evo , is this softer on backrest?
@sleeksetups21 күн бұрын
It's a little bit softer mainly due to the softer upholstery that makes it a bit more plush feeling. But it's not that much softer since the NanoFoam Composite layer is only on the seat, not the backrest.

Don't listen to this guy lol. It's a lot softer. I have both these chairs side by side and the new nanogen has a soft foam layer also on the backrest making it really comfy. I have no idea if there is nanofoam or nanowhatever inside, it feels much softer on my back so it's not the same in both chairs and it's not "a bit softer". Also their website says: Specialized Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and pressure mapping software allow us to optimize the thickness ratio and position of our cold-cure foam and microfoam across the seat base and backrest, down to the millimeter. It would be best to take it apart and check :D

great video, hope more reviews come out on this as im still looking at options, but, i might look at this over the normal evo, with the extra padding etc it might be better, but i would like a office chair for the back support and comfort, that has a headrest etc, but its super hard to find one that is good price max $1500nzd that i would spend on a chair (i think that is $880usd), and has a high weight limit, and is easy to get to New Zealand, as some amazon dont ship here, for weight limit i'm just under 170kg (374.79 pounds), so most chairs don't work for me, as they are around 135kg to 150kg limit, so looking at something that can do 180kg (400 pounds) and so far Secretlab Titan Evo XL ticks most of the boxes for me, i still dont know about the comfort side of things as had seen a lot of mixed reviews from the seat to the Lumbar support not being as good, but for me i don't know if i have any other choose, its very hard to find reviews of good chairs from people who weigh the same as me, or talk about the weight limit, i know the easy answer would be to lose weight but its not always the easy answer, and when buying a high price chair like a herman miller that can be from $2500 to $3500 you would expect them to have more higher weight limit but again its 135kg, so i'm kind of out of options, unless anyone has any good options i can look at, i might have to get the Secretlab Titan Evo XL NanoGen
