“I don’t have a burning desire to go out and document anything. It just happens when it happens. It’s not a conscious effort, nor is it a struggle. Wouldn’t do it if it was. The idea of the suffering artist has never appealed to me. Being here is suffering enough.” - William Eggelston

Also, he says that, but he often claims that he has an idea of the democratic camera, to treat everything - objects and life - that comes before the camera equally. I've seen his photos before and from what I can tell he's demanding America to realize how it's not an equal country. That it is a false dream, this country that portrays freedom in such a non-humanistic way.

"I wouldn’t pretend to understand what really makes music. It’s so fluid and formless, physically, that you just can’t grab part of it. When one starts to try to do that… when one is trying to speak about something that is not finite, soon that shadowy realm, existing and not existing... it either works or it doesn’t." - William Eggleston from 4:10 on (sorry for any misspelling or inaccurate transcription)

a man of many talents. drawing/music/photography and many more i’m sure i’m missing. it’s fun to see photos of Bill through the decades and the piano is always there in one way or another. and that blue/red harpsichord. a true keyboardist/musician.

It's fun to see him so engaged in playing the synth. He's a creative force that can add a bit of beauty to any medium. Thanks. This was nice!
