Hi, my booking site says gratuities included but I saw you tip a bartender. Can you tell me what the expection or the norm is at this resort? ie: did you tip every meal, every few drinks, maid?

I tip all meals, bartenders, servers, maids, etc. I budget for between $50-$100 per day. There's a tipping video on my channel with more info! Have fun!

I didn’t anyone topless. Secrets as a brand is generally pretty conservative. They will ask you to cover up at the pool. The beach is typically fine, but know there is a family resort right next door and many kids walk the beach.

I liked it. However, without knowing you I don’t know if it’s right for you or not. The beach is both sandy and rocky, as there is coral reef in certain areas.

We definitely love sandy beaches, we have been to Nassau and it was white sandy beach.It was a Sandals resort and was great!! I’ve just read quite a few mixed review on this particular resort

Actually, no. Definitely not allowed in Secrets. And I think I only saw one child walking the beach with his family. Security does a good job at making sure people are sitting where they should be on the beach.

I liked it! But I kept my expectations in check. I didn’t go in expecting Secrets Maroma. I knew it was going to be more laid back island feeling 🏝

They can’t really be compared since Excellence doesn’t have a Cozumel resort 😊 This Secret is also completely different than others in the brand. Cozumel has a more laidback vibe than the mainland. 🏝
