Anyone else think that Sea of thieves has a lot of similarities to the tv show lost? Mysterious islands that are part of our world but can only be accessed through a portal with exact coordinates. Cave paintings from Ancient civilisations that once inhabited the island but are now extinct. Mysterious monsters, secrets to the islands and different rules that don't apply in the real world.nope? just me then.

I cant remember where I read this from. But the reason why its called Kraken's fall is because its named after a kraken hunting ship that hunted the krakens near to extension until only one remained that was so masive that it sunk the ship

Hm, if that is so then are all the kraken remains on Kraken’s Fall true/natural krakens or are they those who too were cursed by the book aboard BlackWyche? And if so, does that mean the beastie we see attack us is Sir Arthur Pendragon or has he been laid to rest long ago? One could theorize that because the chest was returned to the sea, the other krakens have no need to attack and yet he, he above all, still seeks his crew and continues his hunt.

Pretty sure theres this thing called the krakens song which is an eery tune which draws the krakens in. Its likely that the chest emitted the krakens song, drawing them not only to flameheart but to the island too, until it was removed

We need a expansion called Kraken's Fall or Deathly Depths? I dunno. Anyway it would add a new Kraken fight that exposes its whole body, and that also makes this chest appear randomly on islands, and you'll have a higher chance of being attacked by a Kraken if you are carrying the chest. And it would make sense that you might see it again because the chest would be sold of to a smuggler ship, or some other pirate ship and that ship would sink causing the chest to wash up on a different shore waiting for another pirate to come and sell it to a outpost. Also the expansion would add fishing, and a flare. And throwing the flare in the water during a Kraken attack, would trigger the full body Kraken fight. Anyway, just a idea.

Just the name of the island kind of proves this. It's the Kraken's Fall - as in, it is what causes their fall. Fall wouldn't make sense as just the name of the place they go to die.

imagine if they were to make an update where everything in it was unkown apart from the fact that this chest was now hidden in the game. Maybe you talked to a tavern keeper who could tell you of flamehearts stories. you then find out - like this video - that flamehearts ship washed ashore on krakens fall. the first crew to get this chest would get some "Hunter Of The Krakens Curse" type clothing/title/items. and they would forever be remembered in the game?

wait.. so, we now know that the flameheart with that chest, flameheart jr. hasn't come to the sea of thieves yet, meaning that krakens fall could be a place the ancients fought when fighting the mother kraken, though we also know the mother kraken is still out there. im thinking there is going to be another update in the near future where flameheart junior will come to the sea of thieves, and we will need to find the cursed chest in order to summon the mother kraken, and finish what the ancients started.

Squids are boneless, those skeletons are not krakens but they might be a serpent or bird which aren't in the game so perhaps a future boss like the meg, skeleton ships and kraken. And hey no enemy type has been confirmed for forsaken shores so maybe it will be in the update.

What if you could find the Kraken chest and a Kraken attacks you randomly and you need to sale it and it gives you 100,000 gold.Then there is a event where everyone on the island is running from a Kraken and you can ether try to save the island or let it parish but after 5 hours everything goes back to normal, but If you save it you get 1,000 blue coins

Yes sailors were drunk or has a sickness when they told stories about the kraken But the Kraken was most likely a Giant Squid that they saw because they will attack boats

Krakens Fall is a weird island. That's the only island in the game that I have never had a quest on. Also one time instead of spawning at an Outpost I spawned there for some reason.

Krakens are giant squids which do not have bones or skeletons. Squids have only a long cartilage skeletal bone running down the length of its main body .A Kraken wouldnt have huge skeletons made of bone like on this island
