WOW, these are all gorgeous. Thanks for sharing them with us. You mention that you did multiple firing with many of these using both gas and electric kilns. One thing I was wondering, how many of these can be done with just a manual (kiln sitter) mid fire (cone 6/7 or lower) electric kiln?
@johnbrittpottery4 ай бұрын
@connecticutaggie cone 10 is best...6 works..manual kiln is fine you just have to fuss a bit more. Try the PDF...Spotted Glaze first...all cone 6 johnbrittpottery.com/shop/johns-spotted-glaze-technique-cone-5-electric/

Is it possible to achieve haresfur effects at cone 6?
@johnbrittpottery4 ай бұрын
@@michaeltwomey9827 best at cone 10 but yes at cone 6...I have recipes for cone 6 in my Midrange book too.
@johnbrittpottery4 ай бұрын
@michaeltwomey9827 technically Floating is a hare's fur and that is classic cone 6 but oils spots are best at cone plus so you can get it at cone 6 but not as dynamic as cone 10

Hi Sir. All beautiful pieces to me! May I ask, can oil spots be achieved with 1 firing at cone 10 or higher? Hope you dont mind silly question. Thank you.
