I love this place. I went and I am longing to return. The image draws you in and won't let go. The more I learn, the more I want to just make Mexico City a regular stop for myself. I've purchased a 28 x 40 authentic (authenticated by the bishop) reproduction of the image I keep in my office. I made a tri-fold board with the miracles of the image to show people at a glance when asked. I've now presented on the image to my church parish. I am mesmerized. Everyone should go to see it with their own eyes. This is THE most visited Catholic Shrine on Earth - more annual visitors than St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Don't wait. Go today. Forget the Media telling you Mexico City is not safe. I found it incredibly safe. When you walk along Cordoba Street, just remember this was the actual causeway onto Tenochitlan which led directly to Templo Mayor. The causeway to the north went past Tlatlolco (where Juan Diego was Catechized and went to Mass in his native Nuahtl Language) and onto Tepeyac.

I was grateful to come here in about 2007 on December 12th and I think they said there were 5 million people making the pilgrimage. It was truly one of the most spiritual events in my life to witness, so much that by random chance my wedding was on the birthday of the Virgin, Dec 12❤

Thank you again for this Ariel. I have had opportunities to go on a pilgrimage to here but I am afraid of the effects that the altitude will have on me - I have asthma. I hope to do it one day. This place also reminds me of my mother who died almost 10 years ago - she visited here in her 70s and enjoyed her experience.

🙏 I’m glad your mom was able to visit. Yea the altitude is tough combined with the smog. Hopefully that improves in upcoming years, in terms of smog, like it did in NYC past 20 years. I hope you can find a way to make it work!

The virgin of Guadalupe is not only for religious people as she said she's the mother of all doesn't matter what

A very important clarification, those of us who know that our mother exists and that she is always with us are GUADALUPANOS and the Guadalupanos do not have any religion, we Guadalupanos know that our mother exists, either by our own direct or indirect experiences of our relatives with the Virgin of Guadalupe. But the Catholic religion appropriates the image and makes people believe that it is a Catholic apparition or virgin, and it is not so. In addition another very big lie that religion tells people is that: the Aztecs made human sacrifices to quetzalcoatl the feathered serpent and that is a lie since anyone who knows about the history of the Aztecs knows that there are codices where it says that when Quetzalcoatl was with the Aztecs, it is when QUETZALCOATL forbade any type of sacrifice And it was the best time of the Aztec civilization, these are historical data not beliefs like religions that are based on beliefs or real factors. Our universal mother energy of pure love our Lady of Guadalupe is above of all that Dumb human belief and earth dumb religions A very important clarification, those of us who know that our mother exists and that she is always with us are GUADALUPANOS and the Guadalupanos do not have any religion, we Guadalupanos know that our mother exists, either by our own direct or indirect experiences of our relatives with the Virgin of Guadalupe.
