ABC10's Fire - Power - Money team obtained 1,500 pieces of photo and video evidence used to convict PG&E of 85 felonies in the Camp Fire, but thousands of pages remain sealed by court order.
For nearly three years, ABC10's Fire - Power - Money team has been at the forefront covering California's wildfire crisis, the danger of PG&E's power lines, and how the company avoids accountability.

These corporations are not inept idiots. They know what happens when a company causes damage through negligence. The fact that nothing happened and the same scenario arises again and again points to this being intentional, and under the supervision, protection, and authority of the government, or the ones who are in control of the government. Hint, hint; It obviously ain't we the people who are controlling the government

Negligence? They have 150,000 miles of transmission lines. There are not enough linemen in the USA to inspection all of those lines. And let's face facts. Shyster lawyers were jumping up and down with glee, because they knew they were going to get very, very rich.

@@TeddyRumble Yeah, but there's plenty of cases where they knew there was a problem at a specific place and didn't do anything about it. And people lost their homes and everything in the fires. Even if you could legitimately make the argument that's it's just too much for them to handle, then they need to be fired and someone who can needs to come in to do the job. You can't continually be the cause of fires that burn people out of house and home and just say, it's not our fault because its too hard.

@@acarpentersson8271 the solution, obviously, is to simply shut the power off on red flag days. I have friends who live in the foothills, and they scream at PG&E everything the power is shut off. Obviously, PG&E shuts power off much more readily these days.

I was there , I talked with the fire investigators at first I thought it was just a simple mechanical failure, for the first few days I even defended PG&E until I found out about the details , I live close by the power lines I always knew they were old BUT Had no idea almost 100 years ! Then I saw photo's of the broken Hook and the mounts ! it was almost beyond my comprehension they would do that and them saying that the lines were inspected ! Well after seeing how easy it would been to see the wear I had to call BULSHIT on the inspection . The insulator stacks just have a regular everyday C hook , that hooks through a steel mounting plate. When they are new the hook just about fills the entire hole that's around 2 1/2 inches in diameter when worn out you could put a couple of fingers in between the hook and the top of the plate . Someone with 10 minutes of instruction could have done the inspection job it was so obvious

I was there for the Dixie fire also , I followed the first Fire truck into the top of the fire , The story of the start of the Dixie fire is even worse than the start of the Campfire . No one should have even heard about the Dixie Fire if they would have show up in a timely manner to see what the problem was first seen at 7am the first guy didn't get there till 11 am and that was across the river looking at the power lines with binoculars It's a long story but Cal Fire saw it before the PG&E trouble man reported it at almost 5 pm when they were on their way to another fire, Cal Fire immediately had a plane and 2 Helicopters on it dropped on it for couple of hours from far above it looked like the fire was out when a Drone got in the way and they had to call off the air strike. And then the wind came up and caused California's single largest fire in history

The reason the hook broke is hurricane force winds. PG&E gets SO MUCH hatred from customers when they shut power off, their inclination is to not shut the power off. PG&E has 150,000 miles of transmission lines. There are simply not enough linemen in the entire country to inspection every hook, every bolt, every wire. That why they shut power off in high winds. The pushback from customers when they do continues to this very day.

I still don't know whose fault it was. I heard the state limits how many trees can be cleared around power lines because of some green policy. One thing for sure- if you want to live in one of those forest towns you have to be rich because your home insurance is going to be thousands of dollars a year.

@paulmitchell5349: In order for you to know that lasers couldn't be responsible for the Camp Fire, you yourself would have to have a working understanding of the principles and limitations of a laser needed to do this. First of all, a weapon of the size and re-fire capacity to do this doesn't exist. Second of all, why waste it on a small town in America when you could use it in another enemy country? Third, why announce to you enemies that you have such a capacity to destroy ICBM's in lift stage? But I'm shouting at the clouds here as you have already made up your mind and no amount of facts can ever dissuade a conspiracy theory...
