It's refreshing to see people play Guild Wars 2 to have fun, instead of playing it to review it. Player vs reviewer it's a huge difference, and it shows 😊

I appreciate that, thanks!

I wouldn't take lazypeon seriously anymore. He puts in as much work as his name implies.

I got my skyscale in lws4 the old way, and while i understand the new player experience necessity of the new SotO way, it's kind of frustrating to see the newbies have it easy for what was before a luxury mount for dedicated players that we worked so hard to get lol.

HP trains, back on Warrior, likes pistol... just needs EoD and maybe we get to see Bladesworn Mario?
@Nuh Жыл бұрын
You can use Pistol on Warrior even without unlocking Bladesworn, so long as you have Weapon Master from SOTO. Not sure if you need to "own" EoD for that, though. But you don't have to actually play any EoD or PoF or HoT to unlock the weapons anymore :3

Maybe dude, maybe

Yea, following an HP train without skyscale is tough but as long as I paid attention and was able to keep up I was fine since the commander and other mesmers in the squad opened portals to the place that were really hard to get to without flying mounts. The problem was I turning green with envy from seeing everyone flying around xD
@Mario_Universe Жыл бұрын
Yeah my envy was too strong just seeing people fly in core Tyria lol.

Glad you’re enjoying the game, and you’re right, it’s huge! Take your time and experience it however you prefer, so you don’t burn out before you get to see all of it. Nice review.

Core Tyria and HoT maps are an entirely different game now with skyscales. It was quite a challenge getting around Orr maps without mounts, not to mention HoT maps (the mobs have also been heavily nerfed over time, which made it even more difficult back then). Looking back at it I'm glad I had that experience but it's understandable why people may want to grab a skyscale first now. Just realize that it trivializes a lot of the early content, particularly because of the new masteries that allow you to use the updrafts on a skyscale, etc. The griffon is probably the greatest mount design in any MMO. It has some amazing flight mechanics after getting all of the masteries. That being said, the skyscale makes it a bit redundant - I almost never use the griffon anymore and that's kind of a shame.

In the case of Braham, it's "come to loathe."

he had the graåhics settings on low. I can go to the same areas and get a vastly different visual experience simply by having the graphics higher.

I'm not sure if they will continue the story introduced in SOTO beyond SOTO itself but we know they that they will continue the story of SOTO quarterly until the next expansion

Good to see you're still having fun with SoTO! Are you still working on the Griffon?
@Mario_Universe Жыл бұрын
Griffon might be a while lol. Don't plan on finishing POF anytime soon and I think that's a prerequisite.

lvl88 and you're already in soto no hate genuinely curious didn't you care about any of the useful mysteries like the jade bot for example wich gives you extra hp points or fishing wich is 30+ gold per hour just wondering??
@Mario_Universe Жыл бұрын
Fair question. I don't have End of Dragons which you need for those specifically, but in general I'm a very tunnel visioned gamer. I specifically wanted the mounts, skyscale especially, and to try a couple elite specializations. Everything else I decided to experience after since it's such a large game and it would take forever to do things in order. I did not know that fishing is that profitable though so I'm gonna want that lol.
@k0v4c Жыл бұрын
Man, you really should continue with the story in order, discovering the story of the Elder Dragons is quite the experience. That being said, GW2 is huge and like 60% of the time I'm spending in the Heart of Thorns maps, and then 30% in Path of Fire, and the final 10% in the rest of the game. I won't be buying this expansion yet for a long time.

Man that's what I'm loving so far about this game. So much you can choose to do that even the new stuff doesn't induce too much fomo. Yeah I'm gonna get back to doing the story in order.
