i don't think link is very silent. he just seems silent to us because we don't hear him speak, but he goes out to the world and talks, investigates and is as social as the player allows him to be. we don't hear him speak because the player is supposed to create the dialogue for link. so, your reaction is links reaction.....

That's actually really smart. He doesn't talk as much as the other characters, even with our reactions and stuff, but he still does talk, and like you said, his reactions are ours. That's pretty cool to think about

@@EdwardJamesBickels true, but it is revealed that Link was only silent 100 years ago because he felt he had a burden ony he could deal with and stopped expressing his emotions etc. When he woke up, he lost his memory about that time so he had no recollection of his vow of silence. So, he definitely talks more now than before

@@kdp13 And even once he regains his memories, he still will talk. No one really knows who he is other than Zelda, the Champions, and some of the Sheikah. He's fairly free to act as he chooses.

twilight princess zelda probably not since link and zelda had like 2 mins of interaction within the whole game. OoT zelda also unlikely since future zelda never could seeing as how link went back to the past and past zelda also unlikely since the future events never happened there would be very little reason for the two to interact. But on the plus side skyward sword zelda and link are undoubtedly canon

Seems a lot of people don't really understand the difference between a "silent protagonist," and one that's not voiced. That or they don't really play/follow the games. Link has dialogue options in almost every LoZ, NPC's respond to his "words." He speaks, we are just not the ones he speaks to, more likely to make it easier for us to self insert.

make a campfire in Faron right behind the the pond at the top of the biggest waterfall (The pond that Farosh comes out of every day at 5am). Make sure you have flint or a flameblade, and then sit by the campfire until morning. As soon as you get up, relight the campfire and use its updraft to fly a few feet off of the ground, and immediately draw your bow and shoot Farosh. You don't have to immediately collect the shard of his horn or his scale because it doesn't despawn until the blood moon i'm pretty sure, so as soon as you shoot him, just sit by the fire again until morning. After a few minutes pick them up.
