All weapons that once broken, can never be re-acquired in Breath of the Wild. A warning to all the completionists/collectors out there.

There are five ways you can acquire weapons in this game:
1. Found lying in the open world
2. Recoverable from a defeated enemy
3. Gifted as a reward for accomplishing something.
4. Found in a treasure chest
5. Acquired through an Amiibo
Any weapon found out in the open world (think rusted weapons) will respawn every blood moon. Any item that an enemy drops once killed will also respawn every blood moon, since all enemies respawn every blood moon.* Amiibo's can be scanned once every 24 hours, so you have a chance to re-acquire those weapons with each Amiibo scan.
Items in treasure chests and items given as a reward can only be acquired once. Ever. That means, there is a small window for any item only acquirable through treasure chests and rewards to only be acquired a limited number of times. If you destroy all instances of these weapons, you will never be able to acquire them again. That's a scary thought for all the completionists/collectors out there.
This guide lists all of the weapons/shields that can only be acquired a limited number of times, and all the locations you can find each of them.
Lynel's will level up as you progress through the game, meaning the lower level Lynels will NOT respawn every blood moon. This means this is also another opportunity for an item to any be acquired a limited amount of times.

And as for the food, I've never reached the limit on it so I can't really complain about inventory space, that's why I consider it impractical to have a whole storage for 2 pieces of armor and dishes. The most food I've ever made is 1 and a half pages.

that would encourage stockpiling weapons which is very very much against the game's whole idea. It wants you to never be attatched to a weapon, constantly cycling through different ones you find. The weapon holders aren't intended for actual storage so much as just having a decoration in your house.

I'd like to point out that the Kite Shield is *not* the best shield for surfing. The Radiant Shield goes fastest, and the Ancient Shield takes the least damage. Both are better than the Kite Shield for surfing.

I kept that Zora spear that old Zora guy lost in the lake. I forget it's exact name, but it is slightly different from it's regular counterpart. It's a tad stronger, and has some more ornate details. I hung it up in Link's house. I couldn't imagine that it would ever be available again. I could be wrong. I wish they'd give more spots in Link's house to collect these things. It get's to a point where you just have to let some of them go. Like the Forest Dwellers Sword. I could have sworn there were only like 3 in the game, but I know for a fact I've come across more than that. Just got one finishing up all my shrines the other night. It actually has an attack up modifier of +7. I don't really know what to do with it, I've run out of display room in Link's house, and I'm bound to come across, or need something better even with all my melee weapons slots. Nintendo should really look into rectify this in future games for people with OCD who have trouble getting rid of stuff, but eventually have to for practical reasons.

Master Mode fixes some of this with the chests on floating platforms and better geared enemies. Lynel spear is held by a Lizalfo in southern Akkala for example, and I think I've picked up a forest dweller sword from one of the floating platforms but like a lot of that is random.

This would have been so easy to avoid. Just have a Kite Shield resting up against a wall in Rito Village and have the Lynel weapons either lying around in some random spots, maybe have something similar to the Coliseum Ruins. Or even just make them amiibo drops, having Young Link give the Kite Shield and Forest Dweller's Sword, and having Ganondorf give the Lynel weapons, or alternatively make a Lynel amiibo that could do the same. Simple.

Y’all are wrong, if you’re weapons are about to break, you can’t fix them, but the champion’s weapons, (Ravali’s bow, Mipha’s trident, Daruk’s smasher, and Urbosa’s sword) you can get them again by talking to the person who gave them to you, but in exchange, they’ll ask you for flint, a diamond, and a weapon (depending on which one you are trying to get)

The red lynel tied to the quest drops a Lynel Bow and doesn’t get upgraded so lynel bows are always acquirable, the mighty bow can be found in one of the hyrule gatehouse, it just requires quick A button mashing and reloading a save to get them, all the savage weapons are always going to be available once you’ve levelled up the lynel gear because there is nothing to overthrow it

Note. (Happened to me) after you do the trial and don't put the new weapons away(unequip them) and you re-do the trial(I did it straight after). That little guy takes the sword or all equipped items away(the ones that he gave you. Also there is a shrine that you can get the sword(I think it's the sword, I can't remember) from.

I hate that weapon... Lol i always drop it... I use mostly guardian/ancient weapons with the fully upgraded ancient soldier set.... Which you can easily find a video on youtube by Kleric that shows you how to get infinite ancient parts.... Its fairly simple and only takes like 10 minutes to set it up

I know there's one in Hebra- it's at Tabantha Snowfield. There are two skulls on the western side of the field, and the top one (northern one) there is a chest partially buried in the snow that contains a kite shield.

There’s one more weapon which doesn’t respawn. The game doesn’t exactly give you a choice whether to keep it or not; once you pick it up, you’ll never be able to lose it again. It’s found right in the middle of Korok forest, in front of the Deku tree

The kite shield has no special effects that make it the best shield surfing shield: it has no friction decrease, is is not tougher, it doesn’t take decreased damage from surfing. It’s just a myth so you can happily put it on your walls without thinking you’re giving up the best shield surf
