I love the idea of these interactive scavenger hunts throughout the park. They should do far more of those, and do themed ones like this or Halloween. I think they are a great alternative to standing in lineups!

FYI there's 5 different maps/treasure to get plus you get a bonus card for completing them all if memory serves. We did this on our trip and it was great. If Pirates has a wait of 50mins/1Hr then doing this twice is much more fun than standing in a queue for the same amount of time. You also get another Fastpass after the 5th (sometimes the 4th depending on cast members) You can only get the maps while the hut is open but the interactive bits are active all day. We go a map just before it closed and either did it after 6 or in the morning of another day in the park. Then there is less waiting for the items to become free. You also don't have to do them all on one day and can spread them out over your holiday. You can get 1 treasure card for each in the party as shown in the video so you can spend 20mins doing 1 map and everyone gets a card. Keep the cards and at the end show them to get the extra 6th one. Note: in Guardians Curse. We found the Captain's hat activation point to be not under the symbol. You just have to fish around for it, but this is the only downside I had.

Thanks for that tip, Chris! I can't believe all of the times we've been to Magic Kingdom, I had no idea that if you did two maps in a day that you get a free Pirates fast pass. My wife and I always enjoy watching the kids do the scavenger hunts (the various effects are really cool and fun to watch), but we never actually did one ourselves. So fun tip! Don't burn one of your three fast passes on Pirates, just do two treasure maps and get a forth one for that. So cool

Ill be honest, i basically grew up at disneyland, and then i discovered tokyo disneyland and sea, but i never really had a desire to make the trip to florida until i watched these videos. Chris, its so awesome watching you experience disneyworld for the first time, because i think you and i are like the same person at disney...a big, excited kid haha. It’s a great thing to do while waiting for the next fastpass. It’s short and easy but mostly fun. My grandsons love it! And no need to get a FP for Pirates, because you get it for your whole party! Maps are a hit too!

i was dressed up as peter pan during one of the Halloween parties at Magic kingdom and I had to mock fight captain hook outside the pirates ride because his first mate kidnapped my wife who was dressed us as snow white. That was so cool.

Chris & family, couple of tips for dining/fun at the WDW resorts, which are really extensions of the fun at the parks - Go to All Star Movies and ask for the secret menu (trust me, this is an experience), Go to Wilderness Lodge and enjoy a campfire sing a long at night - free character interactions with Chip and Dale! PS I wouldn't say NOBODY knows about this ;). I commented on a previous video about it. :)
