So if you have no experience, how long will they train you?
@JohnMorrisThePIGuy3 жыл бұрын
Training for PI's is pretty different between specialty areas. PI's working surveillance require different training vs one that does criminal defense. I would recommend to check into your state PI association and se what training opportunities they offer.

Hi Jason, hope all is well for you. The big things are get licensed, if your state has licensing, get associated with your states PI association, network network and network some more, and make sure you are patient and give it time. From my experience it takes several years, 3-4, for a PI business to really bloom. Oh yea, and watch more PI guy videos and take advantage of training opportunities.

I'm looking into being a Private Investigator. Here in Montana you have to go through some sort of school and at least a year of experience working with a PI firm. Then you go through a FBI check and you have to take a exam through the state of Montana.

Technical surveillance countermeasures is something that I'd be interested in as a career change path. I have a great understanding of RF and EMF in general since it's a hobby of mine as a ham radio enthusiast and ex Greek military officer for a short time, have gained some knowledge of surveillance since I was part of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, training was provided. But until now from then...few things might have changed. Certainly interested in it though.

Hey how does this works. A guy I know ask me if I wanted to do survaliance . He has a company and stuff. @Byzantios1 Жыл бұрын
My 2 cents based on my experience and jurisdiction: Depends on what kind of forensics. If you are talking cyber and telecommunications yes, big time. If you are talking test tubes, photos and swabs, no. Those kind of forensic cases are a nightmare when they get to court and the if chain of custody comes into question. Usually in the purview of law enforcement.

Hey paramount investigative services. Fantastic video! I’m 20 years old, studying graphic design and live in Sydney Australia. I’ve always been into camera work wether it be for my graphics course or personal use. What started off as a fantasy might come into fruition thanks to your video. Might becoming a PI be a good use of my thrill seeking? Or is it still a selfish fantasy, and the career should be taken more seriously?
@JohnMorrisThePIGuy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing! I wouldn't suggest to become a PI for the 'thrills' LOL There can be some very exciting times, but there are a TON of very mundane and even boring times, like any job, to be sure. Sitting in a car for 8 hours and getting 30 seconds of video as your subject gets the mail is more the norm for a lot of us. I just talk about the more exciting cases I have had ;-)
@scream-beam35193 жыл бұрын
@@JohnMorrisThePIGuy ~ ah no doubt. What if sitting around and observing is the thrill I’m after? Staying up waiting for the two men who keyed my car then trailing them to where they live. I say it’s good payoff lmao. Besides, that scenario made me think there’s gotta be a market for this. But to further pick your brain, is there occasion without result?
