Dude thank you SO MUCH!! For the longest time I thought that my ps5 was a completely wasted purchase. I got the console, Expanded ssd, fight stick and pro controller for this console (over 1k invested in it) and my internet was so terrible even though I knew my internet did not have those speeds that kept showing up on the console. I have talked with playstation support to no avail, but With your simple video my connection is now running at my service standard and my console is completely good to use now. Just a tip, but changing your DNS to Google DNS will affect your NAT type in some games and also means your information is flowing through Google, and we all (should) know that Google isn't the most trustworthy with your data.

I’m giving you a like regardless because it seems like good information, however my ps5 speed has not improved as much as I was hoping after changing the primary and secondary DNS, my upload is still only like 15 mbps, and I’m really unsure how to fix it. Troubleshooting resetting the router as we speak, distance definitely shouldnt be an issue and I doubt wifi on 5gigahertz would somehow be better than a wired connection so I’m a bit stumped.

I have Google fiber. With Ethernet there has been multiple times my Ethernet connection just says disconnects and I get booted out of call of duty zombies losing all my gear. So annoying. Don't know what you guys are talking about my download is 850 mbps and my upload ranges from 150-200. I have Fios. People blaming the console, but don't read the service from most ISPs don't guarantee a gigabit for example from optimum. I had them and I had a gigabit and speed tests on PC and Console had me at 200 mbps. They told me they don't guarantee a gigabit but it can get up to a gigabit

For everyone struggling, i will share my 7 year struggle with consistent wifi and the solution 1. Good internet plan 2. Wired connection No matter how good your router is and no matter how good your internet plan is you will always get lag spikes, if u have a wired connection (LAN) not only will your download upload speed increase but it will also be so consistent and never lag
