I start my super hots in January. Plant outside in May. Live and learn.👍🏼😁🌶️

May the 4th be with you! Hope yours isn't too far from that. I'm hoping for around the same time here 🤞

I hope so too, I'm running out of space!

@@bausgrows Hehe me too! I think I might dig out the old blurple light and turn the tent into a two floor apartment with some kind of PVC pipe construction 🤔 Cause you can't get rid of plants, right!

Up this way Baus, relying on a 50 degree night temperature regiment probably ends the season every time a cold front drops down thru these parts during the summer lol. However, I did bring all the plants inside from the cold room last night because by the weekend the night time temperatures are dropping into the teens! -Bob...

hah! well those early season days your plants are much more vulnerable than those cold mid summer nights! Protect your pepper babies!

@@bausgrows There is a lot of truth to that! I commonly wait until closer to Memorial Day to plant out. Last year was into the 3rd week of June and did have a decent harvest...

My goal is always May 5th (in Colorado), but it always depends on the weather forecast, and in recent years we have had snow/frost in late May.
@bausgrows9 ай бұрын
Yeah it's always an adventure in Colorado. Last year we didn't have too late of a snow...just an early May hailstorm from hell that put holes in all my plants just days after putting them out!

@@bausgrows Im using shade cloth as some slight protection this year. It wont be perfect but it might help.
@bausgrows9 ай бұрын
@@dmick9168 I use shade cloth as part of my hardening off process and at 60% it does work very well!

Plz tell me when to plant, sensei baus!

LOL pretty sure you might already be ahead of this one...

@bausgrows haha! i'm about to YOLO this crap, but mostly because of hardening -- the temps seem fine!

Timing is half the battle.. I've been trying to grow Chinese cabbage and Diakon with no luck for years. I find superhot peppers ripen much faster in pots than in ground for those of use with shorter seasons.
@bausgrows9 ай бұрын
That's a good tip! And even if the peppers don't ripen in time, much easier to haul plants in pots into a garage or greenhouse as needed!
