This is my home town. It was a wonderful place to grow up. Oh, and there are no ghosts.

Beautiful vintage American neighborhoods. I hope the politicians don't start ruining these great historical gems.

I was there 47 years ago, in fact the sheriff was a friend of mine that served in Vietnam with me!

I live near Jefferson and have been there many times. Great place to spend a day just walking around and looking at neat stuff. I can tell ya though, on Saturdays when the weather is nice, the place is packed with people! You'll enjoy it a lot more if you can make it there on a weekday. While in the area, I also recommend hopping in your car and driving 20 ish minutes to Caddo Lake State Park. Its like stepping back into prehistoric times. Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in the whole State of Texas.

It is a neat town. I went up there this spring. I really enjoyed the Museum of Measurement & Time. I was there on a Sunday. Some places were closed. So I recommend checking out the town on a different day. Blackburn Syrup is also made there.

Been there many times. A lively little town with interesting happenings. I usually stayed at the Excelsior Hotel . Always stopped at the big red building looking for items. If you couldn't find it there, it ain't going to be found. Good East Texas folks.

It has been over 50 + years sense being in Jefferson, and remembering taking the boat up the river from Uncertain going to the boat landing by the trestle, then walking up to the converted ice house for a meal at the restaurant run by Roy & Kay Butler.

I went there with friends from another East Texas community in the 1980s. Was so much fun! Had a "Blue plate lunch" for $2.99 at one of the cafes and had meat entree, beans, greens, biscuit, tea and pie included in that one low price - a bargain even then. Friendly tourism volunteers and residents. The town is like a living museum with some residents and a lot of tourist and artist shops.

My family live in a small town not to far from Jefferson. We had a thanksgiving get together 2 years ago family from Vegas and Colorado Springs and us from here on west Texas went. We ventured to Jefferson to see the renounced general store. By chance their Christmas parade happened that very evening. Was a fabulous place to spend family time
