When you think about it the big 12 was the top dog back in ‘98. Nebraska was Nebraska back then. K state was top notch. Colorado was legit. Ok st was building a powerhouse with les miles. AtM was a force to be reckoned with. Even Kansas was decent. And the horns didn’t try to take over the conference yet.....

@@jerryjanik480 Michigan's claim to a share of the national championship in 1997 was before the BCS they played a 3 loss Washington State team in their bowl game, they didn't even need to play a top 10 team in a bowl to claim a championship and they barely won that game. That's why the powers that be set up the BCS so #1 would hafta play #2 to be crowned national champion and try to eliminate controversy with who is truly the best team in college football but in 1997 Nebraska was clearly the best team and would have destroyed Michigan if they would have been pitted together in a bowl game. In fact Nebraska finished #1 in most polls.

Sure, Alabama has won 14 straight, 15 tomorrow, but a streak is nothing new and if Alabama hadn’t built a dynasty with Saban along with Tennessee crapping the bed as an athletic program for a decade, that streak wouldn’t be that long.

@@lsu1992 I know! You know you're bad when you go 11-2! That's just unacceptable! You may wanna calm down. LSU rarely keeps the momentum up unlike Bama and losing their offense (aka Joe Burrow) they very well may end up with a sad and stanky season themselves.

@#WhoDat4Lyfe Kris Fields Yeah, I used to get mad at the Alabama hate but now I thoroughly enjoy it. It reminds me that Bama is still relevant and a team the opposition doesn't want to face. I especially love the ones who hate on Saban and act like they wouldn't want him coaching their favorite team. You know that every single college team in the country would fire their coach in a heartbeat for the chance to have Nick Saban coaching their team.
