I hope Matthew understands that democracy is upheld by tyranny, facing outward. It's all very well for quislings to say "your parliament does not exist in my country", but that's rather the point. In 1948 all the surrounding Arab states descended on Israel with the intention of finishing Hitler's job, but alas, they failed. And that is what Naqba describes; it's the catastrophe of the Arab states to fail to do what the Mufti wanted. Israel have since been forever paying for still being here.

The whole charade inside and outside the Houses of Parliament was a DISGRACE to British values and civilised society. I despair at how bad things shall get if so-called ‘Labour’ get in control. The chap speaking to Peter and Lee is coming out with the kind of meaningless diatribe that one expects from ANY ‘labourite’. He may sound genuine enough, but, as an ancient person and postwar child, I’ve seen the ebb and flow of politics for decades; truly, we are at the nadir of everything I hold dear about democracy.
