I very much enjoyed this show. I was especially pleased that Stephen Fry's name was put forward as one of the years villains. I've never liked this man. There is something about his smug self satisfaction that gives me great discomfort. Obviously he has been promoted by the BBC as some sort of national treasure. He's nothing of the kind.

Great disappointment of the year for me was/is the public on election night, we all knew what labour were going to be and we all knew what the tories were, and the public insted of voting against that and voting reform, they just didn't bother and stayed home.

I understand that Ukrainian refugees are given a 3-year visa and can then apply for an extension of 18 months. During their stay, they are not allowed to return to their country of origin or they lose their refugee status. Do the same rules apply to all refugees, including those arriving across the Channel?
