In the contract of Indemnity the liability of the Indemnifier depends upon any future loss incurred by the Indemnified, which may or may not happen. So, why it is not a contingent liability?

Why contract of indemnity not a contingent contract although contingent contract may or may not arise in future depending on the happening or non happening of event likewise indemnity contract also may arise in future so both r likely to be same
