Section 54 & 55, Transfer Of Property Act, 1882 | Judiciary

Hello maam is the guidline of section 54 , TPA is applicable on joint property? Joint property has never been partioned and there are 5 owners in it. In my case we had one ancestral property in which my father and his rest 4 brothers are jointly owner, so right now the other 4brothers have sold the complete property without the consent of my father . Is this legal?
