I marched Sousaphone for Alabama A&M 04-08 and was the section leader from 05-08. I've got to say, that this is the best group from SU that I've ever heard! They've massively improve in power, tone, articulation and intonation. This is nice right here man, keep it up!

Thing is, them jokers were technical even on fiberglass. None of their basslines were static they were always moving but fiberglass limits your tone quality to a degree.

@@Tubastein1 right..I never realized it but I worked with a guy who marched for SU, and he told me their tubas have to be beast, because on all of SU's songs, the tuba parts are constantly moving, I had to listen to a few clips but he was right.

Man so many people judge tuba sections based on fanfares alone and not the overall production which is sad. Truth be told there were some bricked notes in this clip but it didnt take away from my overall opinion of this section because of everything else they do.

Certi5’d No, it’s not true. They were a little sloppy on the longer fanfares, but other than that they were pushing watts. Are they on dawg team’s level? No! No one is saying that they are. But at least give credit when it’s due. They went from one of the worst tuba lines, to a decent tuba line who are still improving at a fast rate.
