"Section Z" for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up game released in 1987 by Capcom. It is set in a futuristic science fiction world where players control an astronaut named Captain Commando on a mission to infiltrate and destroy an alien space station.
Captain Commando is equipped with a laser gun that can be fired continuously to eliminate enemies. Players can also acquire power-ups throughout the game, such as additional weapons and upgrades, which provide enhanced firepower and special abilities. These power-ups include energy bullets, bombs, and shields, among others.
One unique feature of Section Z is the ability to change the direction in which Captain Commando faces.
While not as well-known as other NES shoot 'em up titles, Section Z is recognized for its challenging gameplay and gameplay mechanics.
