As a "professional" barber actively working for nearly two years, no prior knowledge of cutting hair before school... The best thing I could say is the fact that you are taking time to research into your craft by watching these videos speaks volumes. Be patient with yourself and the process. It takes time. Repetition, knowledge and understanding why and when or when not to do certain things. You got this.

Hey Sean, I'm really impressed with your content. This is the first time I've watched your videos, but I'm definitely a new subscriber now. I'm an amateur barber from Brazil who cuts my own hair and family members' hair. I have a 10-year-old boy with curly coarse hair. Would you recommend using block graduation to cut his hair with more length on the sides and just a slight tapering around the ears? I assume block graduation could be a great technique for him and it would be easy to maintain. Keep up the superb work and greetings from Brazil!!!

Draw on a dry erase board. Color it solid then cut / erase the line with something like you’re doing it in hair. That’s how I figured out some of the more complex designs. Then just take your time and practice on real heads. If you have clients you cut bald see if you can “doodle” on them before you shave it
