Trump is a master of "marketing and branding". You mean lying, same thing.

How do you think politicians sell or pander for votes ... through marketing and branding. These people have made careers out of living off your taxpayers' money and squandering it, who cares if someone allegedly fibbed documents over an alleged hush money over an alleged sex affair? You're going to focus on a lousy hundred thousand dollars while they squander billions to foreign countries, and corrupt corporations? This is soap opera jersey shore level of TV drama while the stool pigeons of Corporatism that be our politicians continue screwing us over. Remember now, if you don't vote for Biden then you ain't Black. Go ahead act like Orange man bad is the problem while you pay no attention to Biden's repetition of lies, the lies in the election 35+ years ago, his lies about his education, his racist pandering of the last 50 years, his 1994 Crime Bill, his Quid Pro Quo to get a prosecutor fired while having a personal conflict of interest with his son's employer that benefited from the firing, or even his imaginative pathological lies about his family getting eaten by cannibals, the current state of housing costs, inflation, high interest rates, their flipflop on "Trump's vaccine" that they told everyone they weren't going to take ... even after 40 years of working in the government and not fixing anything and being caught lying people still voted for him like suckers. Pay no attention to the real-life career long politician who has been destroying this country for his entire career, only focus on the guy who was in for four years but had some mean tweets that made a whole lot of people laugh and a whole lot of others have their feelings hurt.

It was a foregone conclusion he would be found guilty, convicted in a trial with a Biden donor judge that was appointed, not randomly selected, as is the norm, to the trial, whose daughter's a dem operative, a lead prosecutor who worked as a DNC consultant, and a jury selected in a district that votes 90% democrat. Jonathan Leibowitz works at Comedy Central, which is owned by Paramount, which is owned by Shari Rothstein (Redstone), which owns CBS television network, aka the mainstream media.
@Alexdenomme3 ай бұрын
And? He still lost his apple podcast over wanting a guest on. He's clearly proved he can make a network tons of money but is also willing to make them work on his terms. He's proven he'll walk. He keeps going back to comedy central because for whatever reason that network seems to be okay with this rhetoric through comedy. I don't know if the elite don't take it as seriously. Maybe they are so dumb they think he's joking. His old show used to make republican officials think he was on their side because he parodied them so well. Idk these people aren't the smartest. All that the networks really care is that he's making money and other investors don't get offended by it.

@Alexdenomme I say this because it's ironic that Jon would be calling out the people who pay him. The "mainstream media" don't just pop out of nowhere.

@OdieSalmon3 ай бұрын
who do they change their names?
@Acanthophis3 ай бұрын
@@OdieSalmon It isn't actually confirmed as to why Stewart changed his surname, but it's been speculated that it's due to familial issues with his father. Regardless, he changed his legal surname. Stewart isn't his stage-name, it's his actual name. Calling him Leibowitz is pretty much like deadnaming a trans person. In this case, calling him Leibowitz is really just an attempt to point out his Jewishness, and to a certain demographic, that is synonymous with being a liar and a thief. It's bypassing actual criticism in favour of identity politics. Basically, OP is a right wing nutjob.

John Stewart is terrible. He started this whole both sidism
@GlutenEruption3 ай бұрын
How old are you out of curiosity? Considering this entire segment is specifically going after the media, republicans and MAGA, your accusation of both sidism falls apart right there, but beyond that Jon has *never* done both sidism. Both sidism is drawing a false equivalence to claim both sides are equally bad or dishonest or disingenuous or corrupt, etc. or giving equal weight and credibility to both sides of a position regardless of if one side is factually correct - that was the policy of the MSM for decades before the daily show even existed and Jon was one of the first to actually expose and dismiss both sidism. He has always worked from an incredibly coherent and consistent set of ideals and principles and calls out lies, hypocrisy, corruption, and political gaslighting from wherever it's coming from, using facts to give proper weight and credibility to the side which is supported by facts. He has never claimed both sides are the same and has always been extremely clear about how much worse the republican side has been.

One of the problems with MSM is they can't afford to ask tough questions anymore. With the rise of new media there are plenty of options for them to get their message out there so if the big networks ask tough questions then they wont get guests returning to their shows. I'm not saying the proliferation of new media is bad, it's certainly bad for big media, but we also have a lot more access to real journalism than we used to.
