@@ShootingRednova Thank youu:))So I took 701 and binge-watched all of the PBQs related to cybersecurity plus a day before the exam because PBQs somehow slipped my mind and did not study at all haha I got the questions just like the ones discussed in the video in the actual exam.

So I get that they would say something like “required SSL” even though SSL is deprecated. But why would they include “require SSL” at the same time as “require TLS.” That makes me think it’d be no to SSL. that feels kinda gotcha-y to me?

Great question! Port 587 is a common port for SMTP that uses Transport Layer Security for encryption. SMTP also often uses port 25, which is the port number originally assigned for SMTP. So, you are correct!

@@cyberkraft1 Ah thank you sir! If i switched the ports around for the SSL port and the Starttls port would i have gotten it wrong? I take my test next week and im really getting those last minute jitters especially about the PBQs

That's right, port 465 was a mistake and has been reassigned by the IANA. See section 7.3 of RFC 8314.
