Thank you for your comment Adrian! The Trident multi-point lock is completely code compliant with all fore codes and no matter what, the occupants are able to exit. Even with the delayed egress unit, the Trident is completely code compliant to all Fire codes; it is connected to the fire alarm and will unlock even faster if the alarm is sounded.

If you drill a 3/8in hole in the door you can press the paddle......you have to reinforce the door before installing....

do you have a video showing the install of a double door Trident with the inactive door kit?

Do not install a secondary lock on the second door ... just add an astragal on main door that alone will work just fine ... concentrate on securing the first door ... ask the installer to install the lock with rivet nuts .. not with the original bolts in the kit ... By the way... I been a locksmith since 1987 and still going 👍

Just get 1/2 inch hacksaw and drill off the heads of the bolts on the main lock ... do not touch or drill the top or bottom bolts and you are in with in a few minutes ... how fast can one drill off 4 carriage bolts... BS BOLTS Bs lock difficult to work with and if the original installer did a poor job its difficult to operate
