I was on a Glasgow bus a few weeks ago and two foreign woman were sitting behind me, they were very loud which is of no big deal and I wasn't sure of the accent, it sounded like they were not long finished work and were just talking away about the usual stuff but one did say the company had hired exactly 100 people, but I heard her clear as day state only two people were local, it sounded possibly like it was a call centre as I heard her say they were getting a lot of complaints as people couldn't understand all the various languages. I walk through Glasgow city centre and have been doing so since the 70's, over the last 10 years it's VERY CLEAR immigration has exploded, I feel odd now walking around and rarely hear another Glaswegian accent.

I used to live in Banbury, and I can’t believe they’ve turned this hotel into an immigration hostel. It is interesting to see these hotels, but after seeing your videos, you have to respect the privacy of some of the migrants and people from abused homes. Well done C for standing your ground. It's only the hotels word that they own that right of entry. Normally, solicitors draw up a right of way to park etc. I don't trust what the hotel are saying or they would have closed the shutter down. Am really proud of you though for standing up to them. Access rights are contained in the property deeds - they cannot be revoked with just a letter or phone call - they have to make a deed of variation and have it registered at the Land Registry office. Hotels often have public access rights to certain areas, (like car parks, lobbies etc) and again, these are written into the planning consents/deeds documents. That can be changed but when a change of use happens, eg. using a hotel as a hostel, which this appears to be, this does not necessarily change the public access zones. The only successful challenge I am aware of is the sea front hotel that already had a local plannning clause against ever being used as a hostel, to protect the local area and status etc. To challenge change of use, It has to be proven that a new use would seriously impact the local area for the worse.
