One day when I was a kid on the shitty living room computer, that damn pig screech came screaming at me through the speakers, and through fake anti virus I had just to play a mario game from download.com, a fishy site I sued to go on all the time, and used to give me bloatware. The proper way to remove it: 1: Kill the Process Tree of it 2: Remove it from the startup and correct the Association for the shell. 3: Delete the Program Then it is essentially gone If it's done in a different way it will just rehook-up the shell association as it is terminated.

When you restarted, you could have just used Run in task manager (assuming it was not blocked) and typed "shutdown -r -f -t 0" to restart the VM properly, it's a useful command, because you can even shut other systems down remotely with it using hte gui (shutdown -i). Nontheless, another good informative video.

I just got a customer's Win XP PC with this on it and it is harder to shut it off...had to do it via the command prompt task manager...other than that it blocks task manager from being opened. Instead of doing a manual uninstall I just did a total wipe and re-install because she many other issues as well.

how to remove all viruses.1 goto C:/Windows and find "System32"2 right click it. goto the security tab3 click advanced and then change owner4 change it to you. then click OK and get back to the security tab5 click on your user and add all permissions6 click OK and yes to all or somthin like dat7 right click system32 and click Delete8 say skip or yes to anything in use.9 reboot and all your viruses are gone.

I will tell you where you should look in the registry Open Regedit Go to HKEY_Current_User - Software - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion - Run If there are any registry keys in random letters/numbers, or if the name is associated with the rogue, see the file path, and you will find it. You can rename the executable file of the Rogue: SecEls.exe to SecEls.vir, then reboot, and the rogue will not run again. Then you can delete it. Or use taskkill.exe /F /IM SecEls.exe, this will kill it.
