It was a time (19th century) when the Bektashi order was under pressure and many masters and dervishes were executed or exiled. Ashik Veli, the writer of this poem, addresses to the crane, the bird which is believed to be a messenger of Truth and Spirit. The Elif (the first letter of Arabic alphabet) is the symbol for singularity, uniqueness, a quality attributed to the Creator, the Spirit. Ali’s (the last prophet of Islam) garden stands for the place, the source that holds Wisdom and Truth. Balım Sultan was a Bektashi master, whose role was quite important in the reformation of Bektashi order in 16th century.

It is said that Ali ibn Abu Talib is the gate of wisdom. So "Ali's garden" refers to the wisdom itself. However according to mainstream Islam (both Sunni and Shi'a. So I am talking about billions here) Ali ibn Abu Talib is not a prophet. The last prophet is Muhammad (pbuh). There are some heterodox groups who hold the belief that Ali is a prophet but they are very small in number and as I said it is Heterodoxy. That sentence is misleading for non-muslims and offensive for the followers of mainstream Islam. I strongly recommend that you correct it OR add "according to such and such" part to make it clear. Have a peaceful life.

@@abdullahm6723 bu adamların arasında düzgün Türkçeyi kullanan bir tek Yunus Emre var. Mevlana Horasan göçmenidir muhtemelen ana dili ya Farsça ya Kürtçe ya da arapçadır. Erenlerin ve dervişlerin zamanı Osmanlı Türkçesi kullanılıyordu yani bu Arapça-Türkçe-Farsça sentezi demek bu da demek oluyor ki Erenler ve dervişlerde Türkçe kullanmıyordu. Bu halde söylenebilir ki aralarından Yunus Emre dışında hiç biri öz Türkçe kullanmıyordu. Bu insanların hepsinin felsefesi bütün dünya insanlarını kapsar. Türk deyişleri demek bu nedenle yanlıştır. Bu felsefeyi benimseyen Ermeni de bizdendir, Kürt’te , Türk’te , vb.. bu felsefenin öğretilerinde 72 milletin felsefesi diye bahsedildiği için içerikleri de bi millete mal edilemez Türk deyişi değildir. Esasında bütün coğrafyayı kapsayan o an Anadolu insanlarının kolay duyabileceği eserler ve deyişlerdir.
