Like rather than "kiss" they can "peck on cheek", or they have interactions like they think romance is gross. It's the awkward hybrid stage

James, TIP: the interaction of spend the night does not indicate the sim will travel, in fact it only means spend the night on the lot the two sims are located (which yes, is stupid). If you add to group, then the other sim will travel, then you can ask to stay the night after you get to the home lot. Also, the interactions of "confess attraction" and "risque question" are two that 90% of the time will backfire. They are such bad interactions, even if you are in a relationship with the other sim, it often doesn't work and will set off a chain reaction of disaster. There is an easy way to get this done: 1) get to be best friends then 2) alternate between friendly gestures and the romantic option for "compliment appearance" until you get a lot of pink then go to first kiss. THEN you choose "KISS" and compliment appearance and other romantic interactions until you have woohoo. Works every time, even when dealing with non flirty sims!

I think Holly's not interested because a) she's engaged to Lady, and b) she's a lesbian. She's just not going to be into Thorne. Lady is bi but that doesn't mean all the women in this game are. I think Thorne has accepted his new life. He wanted to get with Lady, she was hot, he was into it, and then cheating ruined his life. But it's partly his fault, and he doesn't resent Lady for it enough to want revenge. Ocatvia, on the other hand, is Not Happy, with either Lady or Thorne. She holds them both responsible for the breakdown of her marriage, and she wants revenge on both of them. How Dare Thorne come crawling back after divorcing her and think she'll just marry him again like nothing happened. How Dare Lady seduce him. She wants to hurt both of them. How can she do that? By getting with Holly. Thorne will see that he doesn't get her exclusive affection just by coming back home, and Lady will get her heart broken just like Octavia did.

He doesn't deserve to have a revenge story since he ruined his own life doing that. Octavia should tell holly what happened and they "get together" to get back at thorne and lady for what they did. And either they actually start to like each other or they just stay as best friends who look out for each other if they try to find other people (or just take a break from relationships to focus on themselves, their friendships with others, and any kids they have).
