It's a Cm chord with an added maj7 interval. Formula: R b3 5 7

All great jam tracks amigo, but you MUST do something about your bar lines in the chord progression description... when the two chords are in the same bar, putting a line between them fools the reader into thinking they are a full bar each. Education helps us all. Such wicked recordings! thank you.

I am working currently concentrated with this beautiful track, trying to expand my usual Blues improvisation, combining traditional pentatonic licks and meeting specific chord tones from the fitting diatonic scales. And I try to play also the chord progression and to find out fitting arpeggios. This is a hard personal challenge. Thank you so much for your wonderful backings!

great track. bit of advice guys: you're going to need to hit the natural b when the g7 comes along. straight up minor won't cut it.
@kudos42014 жыл бұрын
every note can cut it if you make it
@akahige89674 жыл бұрын
@@kudos4201 sure, but a way to improve is learning to recognize the "better" notes in various context. here's the textbook harmonic minor context. g major, natural b.

Stop talking about notes no one gives a fuck talk about intervals. "hit the natural b" ummmmm just tell me the interval lol?? Like tell me hot the minor 3rd or perfect 5th whatever. Stop talking about notes they don't mean anything without context

Certain tracks I'll just listen to it before picking up the guitar. Then I play over it using different chord voicings. Then come up with a melody line before soloing. Even then, I'll try to find a different sequence ,direction or pattern. God I love these tracks .

Nice track, EJT! Top tips for lead over this - switch Bb for B over the G7 chord, and switch Ab for A over the F9 chord. Try it, if you haven't before - it's really gooooood!
@MrUmandMrEr5 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate. I think you'd need a chromatic harmonica, like Stevie Wonder, to hit all the notes. Have you got one? The chords are all in the above track, (although they've labelled the Bb chord B by mistake.)

Great jam track, thank you !!! :-) Just a suggestion tho… it would prob be helpful for some to make your "bar lines" ie "|" these guys, accurate to the time each chord is played... some are 1/2measures, some are full measures, some are 2 etc... esp if you rewrite it to play w a band... then each musician will know when the chords actually change... but once again... it's a beautiful track and I can jam more fusion-style over this w some cool D-7b5 arpeggios and G7 arps that flow well in C minor !!! :-)
