Ace is Awesome, I was an Ace fan before I was a Kiss fan, my cousin introduced me To Frehleys comet back in 87 when I was 11 and loved The song rock soldiers and I started learning about. Kiss and the rest is history I’ve been an Ace and Kiss fan ever since!!!

It is great to see all the love and respect Ace gets from Kiss and music fans alike. And rightly so. It is an immensely likeable character, without even mentioning the massive influence he had on rock guitarists. Gene is a pantomime, a joke worn thin with a big dollar sign on it. His philandering always repulsive, even by 1970s standards and now, for a man his age, pathetic. Paul has a bit of soul left but he is like the co-president of the company who has to begrudgingly make shitty decision for the bottom line. Peter opted out ages ago. So there is only Ace left. And we all say as one: “Long live Ace the Spaceman!”.

Ace is the best. He always was more talented than the rest; a purely natural player. Im a female guitar player and I can kick some ass on the fretboard and I mostly play my Les Pauls and my black Tony Iommi style SG. Man, I must have spent a week learning how to play "Parasite" when I got my first guitar, a used Martin that my uncle had. I learned EVERYTHING on acoustic, so when i bought my first Les Paul in 1978, the string- action was so free I could just burn through scales and leads, but also kept it simple. KISS ALIVE one, is the best live album EVER! Ace, you stand apart my friend. You're the reason I picked up the guitar. Your riffing and leads are not easy things to learn and play. You always go off in some direction I never expect with your runs and leads. Many guitarists don't catch that right away, but then they're like, oh YEAH, you're right! PARASITE is still my favorite.

Ace has always been my favorite member of KISS but I want to say something and I want all other Ace fans to really think about it. What has Ace for 16 + years mocked and ridiculed? What has Ace said during that same time frame was Gene and Paul ripping the fans off? Tommy Thayer as the Spaceman and Eric Singer as the Catman - right? Well recently it has come out, from Ace himself, that he has been trying to rejoin KISS for the last year. Once the final KISS tour started and Ace was not part of it, the shit hit the fan right? Ace has accused Gene of groping his wife and said that if He, Ace, is not put back into KISS immediately that charges will be filed against Gene. Umm my fellow Ace/KISS fans what do you think of this? To me it screams "hypocrite"!! Think about it, for 16+ years Ace has trashed this KISS lineup but now he is willing to put the suit back on and play, and make money all the while, WHO IS ON THE DRUMS???? So Ace is willing to play in KISS with Eric Singer still wearing the Catman outfit? Does that not then make him everything he has accused Gene and Paul of being? Actually it makes him worse, because he has been the one out bitching about it!! Regarding Gene assaulting Ace's wife - I don't buy it. The day after they accused Gene of that Ace's wife went on to say "I love Gene, I can't stand Paul" - now if a man groped you and said lued things to you as she claims, would you then go out the next day and say you love the guy? Ace has also admitted within the last month that everything Paul and Gene have accused him of being - IS TRUE! But..he is no longer that guy and they should give him the chance to prove it. So while you may still love Ace, as I do, you have to also be honest and really ask yourself if Ace is the genuine guy he pretends to be. Also ask yourself why is he OK with Eric being the Catman?

@@alabamahebrew I love Ace, but at some point fame got into his head. He also always relied on his talent and luck. Combine this three things, and it's a downward spiral. Reality just doesn't work this way. He sold his Spaceman to Paul and Gene, for me, that's it. Spaceman is dead, there's no going back. On the other hand, such magical things like original lineup never last, can't blame him for this. Some people say that Ace should have put his head down, sober up in the late 70ties and stay with KISS. This just wasn't possible, even though I believe that if Ace was dependable, Paul and Gene would want him to stay. I'm sure that ending the era of four way split and starting the era of Paul&Gene split + employees was good for them money wise, but they are high IQ guys, I'm sure they knew that they had something magical with Ace. It's just sad to see this bs filled with regret.
