That's the issue tho. Why are y'all so heavy on respect from children when you can't simple respect and acknowledge the fact they have a mind and opinions. The fact that their opinion doesn't align to yours, doesn't mean it's invalid or disrespect. Some adults/parents aren't understanding that if you act like a adult/parent, you will be treated and respected as such. Dehumanizing children when they have an opinion different from yours is toxic.

However following rules and doing as your told is not being a slave it’s being cooperative. Rules keep order and peace. A child needs guidance. Even adults need leadership. @@Dom_om_nom His Mother didn’t display any homophobic behavior in this video. This video is about the dysfunctional relationship between a parent and a child. Yes respect does go both ways, however a child is to respect their parents first because they’re not equal to their parents. It’s a hierarchy system and that is divine law. It’s about order and cooperation as I stated in my first comment. If the child comes to an age where they disagree then they need to leave from their parents. Since the son thinks following his Mother’s rules and ways is a form of slavery then he needs to free himself. As the Mother respectfully suggested emancipation is the best solution for her son.

Here afterthe dr phil episode. This comment section is so annoying. Yall talk like your own child that you selfishly brought into this world is your slave/property. ‘You cant have opinions if you still live under my roof’ ‘... then move out’ ‘who pays the bills’ I also hate my mom when she orders me to clean my room disrespectfully. Act like i owe her my life for living under her roof. sometimes children don't do things right because they have problems of their own. They are children y’all.. they dont know what’s going on. If you know your child well you can definitely tell the difference between a child being disrespectful to you or if they are not feeling well. For example, every time I delay locking the fence of my house, my parents scold me loudly. But when they are the one who delay to locking the fence, I have no right to reprimand them. why? Why do parents act like they are the authoritarian rulers of their child’s life? Family is a place where you can be your raw self. a place where you grow and learn to be a better human being. not a place where whoever pays the bills is the authorized one. where is unconditional love? every child is different, and every parent must know and understand their child so that a good relationship can be established. cookie cutter approach to children is useless. Maybe angela kind of parenting style works for you, but not for others. Also, parents and children can deal with each other equally. I am a strong believer that children are a reflection of their parents. Children do not belong to their parents. Of course, children should respect and love their parents who raise and nurture them. Of course we understand how parents have sacrificed so much for their children's well being. Of course there are boundaries that must exist between parents and children. but that doesn't mean you are the boss of your kids. if your parents shutting down your spirit, making you feel miserable, then you have the right to stand up for yourself. This is my pov as a child who also grew up with parents similar to angela and you have the right to feel the opposite way. But before you judge how someone behave, all you have to do is to respect other’s opinion and don't try to teach others/tell others what to do without knowing their circumstances.

First of all, the mother has narcissistic tendencies. Secondly, any "seasoned" therapist would tell a parent NOT to compare their children as it disrupts the family system and creates detrimental roles (i.e. scapegoat, golden child, etc). The mother has issues with her son's sexuality and this is evident out of the gate.
@DonPTellemVision4 жыл бұрын
All she said was he was different. I don’t think any parentwith multiple children would denounce each child’s individuality. It’s not to say you love one more than the other. It just means you love each one enough to know they have different personalities and you have to raise them accordingly.

@@dequanrick2209what's wrong, the TRUTH got you hot & bothered???? 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 tryna disguise yourself as a black person with that lame ass name "Dequan" when you're clearly a white person. A black person wouldn't get pressed and respond the way you did over someone else agreeing with the initial comment that started this thread dummy😂🤣🤣🤣. How do you blow your own disguise??? Lmfaooooo. You must be that new kinda slow 😂🤣🤣🤣

We need to be trying to reach out and uplift is that poor child and encourage him not to tear him down because his mother chose to make ignorant and poor mistakes and she has a ignorant crowd following behind her telling her her stupid decisions are great

Im a mother who most definitely feels were his mom is coming from. She is doing every step possible as a mother to try to fix the relationship but He is making it more worse then things are!

I can tell by the moms attitude she should never have had children. She has no respect for her child and what she has put out has come right back to her. It is so clear.

@OnikaTanyaMaraj👑 after watching the Dr. Phil show, this lady has no respect for her children AND herself… if I were her kids, I would be ASHAMED to have a mother like this.
