@@newsocracy Great video I live in CHCH and am happy you enjoyed being here visiting. The Kea Alpine Parrot is one of the most endangered birds in the whole world and is national taonga (treasure) and as you will now know an incredibly majestic bird. Do come back as there is so much more for you to experience :)

A pretty accurate and fair outline of Christchurch. I spent many years away from Christchurch working overseas. But I am glad to be back here for retirement. Good suggestions to people for them to consider going to. I did have friends that came over to New Zealand from the states who thought the Alpine Train was extremely expensive for what it offered, while the heritage trams in the central city got a big thumbs up from them. We went to all of the attractions mentioned here over 4 days, and overall my friends were very happy they came to Christchurch. (They also enjoyed walking the Bridle Path and visiting Orana Park to see the animals).
