Those Smallmouth are some of the most absolute brutes I've ever seen! I'd only be able to catch one, as I'd die from excitement with the first.

They get massive in there. Had a day with 30 earlier in the spring and more than half were 4-6lbs

Hey it's Vinny Kraft, changed my channel name. Good choice on day 1 going for smallies. I always take 2 weeks of vacation at the end of May every year and stay at my buddies camper at Presque Isle Bay. We fish all over Erie the entire time, and usually hit up Lake Chautauqua a few times as well. Caught my new PB largie at Chautauqua this year 🙌🏼🙏🏼 The first 2 days of the trip we went to Cayuga for the first time. Smallies where just starting to pull up on beds. Caught a 20" and 19.5" there. Such a big lake. It's prob on fire there now. This was the earliest spawning on Erie I've seen since 2021.
