Kristine, I have never seen a kayak angler that has a better cast! I’ve asked this before but could you PLEASE consider doing a casting tutorial? I can’t seem to get a skip while in my kayak. I told you a few times I love your hook sets. There are people out there that have no clue about why we set a hook hard and sometimes they still come unbuttoned. Epic day, Kristine. I'm 52 and have used spinning gear my entire life. (Shimano and St. Croix specifically.) I am about to pull the trigger on my first baitcaster, a Zodias and Curado 150 MGL, and am right handed. I notice your right handed as well but have the left hand retrieve. Using spinning gear I am of course accustomed to reeling with my left. Is it simply your preference and just more comfortable I'm guessing?

Yes - got all of the length measurements- I honestly probably under estimated the weight, but I’d rather be on the short side than over exaggerate. Here were the lengths - 24” 23.25 “ 22.5 22.5 22.35

Girl, I think that was the funniest comment about you won’t make criticisms about peoples figure skating and you are so right! Everyone is the expert who is “not in the arena.” That is one of my favorite quotes from Brené Brown! my dad told me when I was in my early 20s and I literally lost my personal best that to this day would have still been my personal best that I lost it because of my “sissy hookset.” Proceeded to tell me that 5 ounces or 5 pounds that most of the time you never know until you hook the fish so set the hook the same every time and if it happens to be 5 ounces then it is that fishes bad. 😂😂😂 so my reputation is always about my Hookset and I don’t give a damn because I will never miss a fish because I did not try to drive that hook hard into that cartilage on the nose! Set that hook girl! The people criticizing you are probably ice skaters 😂

They have no clue that it's not to avoid breaking off, it's to handle the heavy cover you're fishing in.
