Pls pls Seun, be careful with Naijja police and soldiers! !Don't let them waste you. It's in the blood of Anikulapo Kuti family to fight for injustice to ordinary people and you were born to these courses and great value. I urge you to use music and social media to fight your course and everyone is backing you. We fear for your safety when you're in custody of those barbarians. Remember the days of your Baba , but he never gave up. Kudos to you Seun for defending yourself and protect your family in the car you were travelling in. Peopl who have had encounters with Nigerian police will not understand. Because of Nigerian police on road checks and demanding for money or making accusations on travelling motorists, I decided not to travel to that nation with my children who had witnessed police corruption and harassment behaviours during their visit and this kind of thing is alien to them as children born and raised in a society where policing on the highway is non-existence, unless there's a major road collision. Nigeria police are human beings, but they are beasts is in uniforms They need mental capacity training and development.

Nigeria is a land of calumny... in this case a self-imposed calumny. HOW COULD YOU SLAP A POLICEMAN ON DUTY? And so many people whose daily lifestyles border on corruption see nothing wrong in Seun's criminal behaviour. BIG CORRUPTION and small corruption are both criminal behaviour. Seun's dad too, was a good musician but was never a gentleman. The country has become a place where evil is celebrated as good! The youths protesting don't even know what to protest about.... they will go in any direction when you have no destination.

Exactly! No respect when a career criminal is about to be sworn in without fulfilling the constitutional requirement. The Abuja 25% issue is straightforward, except for the willfully disobedient: 1. Abuja is the seat of the Presidency - unlike any other State 2. While the 36 States have their Governors, the President is the de facto Governor of the FCT. The Minister of the FCT is akin to the Commissioner of the CBD in Lagos. 3. No one should govern a place where over 75% reject him. The law does not require the victor to be popular in FCT; but not so unpopular that three-quarters reject him. 4. COROLLARY: When Lagos was the capital its residents elected their Governor. Since the FCT Governor is the President, the Constitution provides that a very small minority (25%) of FCT residents must approve of him. Otherwise, FCT should have a separate elected Governor. Even in the USA, which Nigeria pretends to imitate, Washington DC elects its Mayor, who since 1961 has been of the Democratic Party, even when the Presidents were Republican. 5. The word “and” in the Constitution can have no other interpretation in English, except the conjunctive. 6. The Supreme Court’s Judgement in 2008 declared that a candidate must score at least 25% of the votes in the FCT 7. Abuja is the only OFFICIAL melting point for all the ethnic groups in Nigeria. 8. Lacking 25% in Abuja (a mini-Nigeria) is prima facies evidence of a rigged election and a stolen mandate. 9. Even State Capitals (like Ikeja, Calabar, etc) have their own elected local govt chairmen; they are not directly under the Governor. 10. Incidentally, Abuja is one of 4 major ethnic melting points in Nigeria (2 in the North; Abuja & Kaduna & 2 in the South; Lagos & PH). Among the leading presidential candidates, PO won in three of these melting points. BAT lost WOEFULLY in all four of them.

But this appears that he was the aggressor so I do not understand the narrative trying to make this look like some freedom fighter act. Let us not forget the victim here is an adult police man with family and much older than him. Do not shoot the messenger. Even though I am surprised you all speak correct english despite the looks on your faces, I still believe we should not over react to issues because it involves the police. All police officers are not same, just as all civilians are not criminals. Let us not always generalize. Seun was completely wrong in this one! He was in the video slapping the man without recourse he is somebody's staff, husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and benefactor. I believe there are exaggerations on your narrative. Should we approach the national assembly to propose a complete dissolution of the Nigerian police? Imagine a Nigeria without the police, do you think you can stay in this country continually? Let us be honest in everything we do. Seun needs to apologize and compensate the victim, and also apologize to the Nigerian police force in general. Let us call the spade, a spade!

Based on your allusion, the police can do no wrong and are above the law. That is slavery all over again. If it is proven the policeman was drunk and initiated the car bump without waiting to check the welfare and safety of the citizen, then the Policeman should actually be the one stripped of his uniform and jailed. Police are after all here to serve us the people and not the other way round. Everything that occurred afterwards becomes irrelevant. The video you watched showed him slapping the police but did not show you what triggered the altercation, hence claiming he slapped without recourse is factually wrong. Do your research and don't follow blindly.
@bestofthebesttv8411
@bestofthebesttv8411 Жыл бұрын
@@effyziesolutions8265 Based on your sentiment, everything alleged on a police officer is true despite overwhelming evidences suggesting otherwise? Even if the claims are correct, the officers had stopped, Seun walked up to them, he should have just taken their identities, vehicle identity, gone ahead to do the needful than assaulting him there, at least he did not skid into the Lagoon and was not brutalized whatsoever. The police also have the freedom of speech provided for the citizenry. If the police officer said anything wrong, Seun was entitled to also pick his material evidences to establish his claims to the right places, not physically assaulting him. Meanwhile, it is very childish to invest energy supporting a claim that has nothing to show for it than a crystal clear evidences of assault and intimidation. Even you the online counsel to the accused can not prove that claim, including the young man in the video laying the allegation. This is Nigeria after all, we all know the jamborees.

I don't have a police in my family neither do I have one as a friend, but Seun knows he didn't do well. And you all should stop blind emotions. This Kuti guy is a clown.. Assaulting a police officer shouldn't be a badge of honor. And should not be applauded!!!

Now what? Tame your anger in Nigeria and don't go to the United States to go and slap a police officer or you will regret it and Falana surely will not be there to help you cause American Cops will decide your fate...

I swear the whole drama that happened on thirdmainland bridge between seun and the police is scripted, they actually set a trap for him and he fell into it, if not how would some one hit your car from behind and still have mouth to say shit at ur face and you no go give am resetting slap, oh someone said because he's a police man so? You expect seun to come down from his car and shake the driver that hit his car from behind abi no be wetin all you hypocrites dey talk, go to lekki and every parts of this country and see the way so called elite and big men drive on the road and see their reactions when something happens to their cars you go hear big grammar and heavy threats, that's where somebody will be telling you how many degrees he had and his position in the society, so what are you guys sayings now, I stand to be corrected oh someone should tell me if there is a law that says if police wants to kill you don't react, hypocrites elites everywhere.
