That's a bs explanation, even a guy with an average IQ knows that if you have the capacity to travel lightyears to another planet, you would not send any of your men to a planet unless you know it's safe, you would send drones or scouters if you could, to check the planet out first and see if the planet and the lifeforms in it are hostile or not. It is very possible that many of these UFOs are alien drones being dispatched to just search the planet, and they dont have any weapons or defense mechanisms because they are only observational drones, this theory makes more sense when you listen to the eyewitness accounts of pilots saying these objects are smaller than a car and are not shaped like balloons, they are shaped like cylinders and octagons.

Consider this: They have been sending them for awhile and finally we put a stop to it. Thankfully we have very intelligent and forward thinking people in the Military and Intelligence communities. There is no indication that the three objects shot down were balloons. To assume they were would be an illogical assumption, considering there is no evidence as to what they are or where they came from. It's only speculation at this point. I like Niel and find him exceptionally intelligent but he really does not take the UAP subject seriously. What the government really knows is a different story. We need good scientists to take this phenomenon seriously and not leave it in the hands of our military or intelligence agencies.

I am guilty too. I worked as a student in a weather forecast facility for a mine. There are many reasons for these balloons. We used them to plot the relative thickness of air layers in their difference in temperatures. I launched one each day, with dangling electronic sensors, not so unlike your "spy" balloons. No worries, shooting them down with AIM-9 sidewinder (cost US$391,000) will not ignite, because nowadays we use helium (no longer H2) which is an inert gas. So when it explodes, you only get to see a puff of white smoke from the rocket burst, as you see on the few photos. Sorry, I reckon you don't want to hear this, but no alien threat here, as Mr Tyson confirmed. Thank you Mr Tyson for the corrected "threat assessment". P.-S. Nobody has ever accused our weather forecast station of "spying" as far as I know. And it makes no sense at all that thousands of UFO observations over decades, show outstanding flight abilities, now recognized by congress as a potential threat, would just sit there, floating, to be shot down. @@TheCrain Nope. Neil Tyson deGrasse explains it in this vid that the jet stream directs balloons. We don't and cannot "send" weather balloons across large distances, with any accuracy. They follow the stream in a general direction. If these balloons were to take photos, you'd end up with very little chance of photos taken over military installations than hundreds of pics of cows and horses in fields. Satellites are directional and much better at that. That's why the CIA chose U2 planes and then SR71.

I saw an alien craft up close was a silent black triangle with 3 circle white lights one in each corner and a small red light in the center. Watched it for 5 minutes up close.
