This needs to be taught in Middle School and High School, screw all the bullcrap about geometry and algebra and history isn't necessary to make it in the world. All we need is basic math and reading skills, personal finance, and how to apply for jobs etc.

This time next week, I will be in Portugal. My trip this time..... Porto, Tomar, Obidos, Lisbon, Sintra Albufeira (including Lagos, Portimao, Silves and Loule). Then off to Rome, Florence, Cinque Terra, Venice and London before heading back to Atlanta. Almost a full month in Europe. I'm ready!!

Buying stocks now that most of them are in the red would be better than holding money in a savings account. Why would you wait until stock prices go up to buy? If you have money that you won't miss now is the best time to buy in.

Personally unless you have 5 years, do not invest it, as you seem to need it relatively short term. If you have over 5 years then investing could be good yes.

leave it in the savings account because you will need all of it to buy a house. If you invest in the stock market be prepared to see your investments flactuate and be lower or higher. Investing in the stock market is for long term.

You can put the money in a HYSA (high yield savings account) and get some return without losing anything and having the money ready to withdraw at any time or put in a CD for certain time and still not losing. In a normal saving acc you are not getting anything, it is working for the bank not for you. If you invest now to have the m money by the time you want in 2 year, if the market is down you are gonna lose it.

What ever your making today to get by I would imagine that is more then likely what you would need when you retire. But I would have the big expenses pay for out right, like house cans car payment. Should owe NOTHING on them before retiring
