I've seen a lot of videos but I think your list is one of the best. I would also include some sort of surge protector with EMS (protect spikes AND drops).

@@fitspiritshare Congrats! I’m glad this was helpful! I recommend joining the Winnebago Solis owners and wanbees FB group. A TON of good information there.

Great video, thanks for sharing these suggestions. I just found your channel and subscribed. I recently got a 23/23 59PX and I’ve been slowly getting items needed for our road trips. I laughed at the padding for the pizza oven edge, only 4 head crashes in the first month 🤣🤣

Another great video. Straightforward information and useful recommendations. Most of the videos I’ve watched just repeat the info you can already find on the Winnebago website. Sounds like you’ve put some good adventure miles on your ride-More travels ahead I hope!

Thanks for making BOTH videos. Very thorough and well done. Glad to hear you’ve got two seasons on your van and it’s still something you’re using and taking care of. How is it holding up? Any unexpected issues or red flags?

Thanks for watching! I have family with Thor and other Winnie builds. I think we all agree the Solis has been the most durable. No show-stopping red flags so far. I have a video in the making to talk about build issues and fixes!

Thank you for checking out the videos! These are Costco bedding packs (South Point Home Fashions SPHF) in various designs that change every season (sheet, fitted sheet, 4 pillow cases). We use a queen size in the pop top and a full size in the Murphy bed. Love em.

I’ve found all your videos so helpful for getting up to speed with our recent Solis purchase. Is there anything you’ve purchased or modified to reduce the internal noise when driving?
@roadstoke Жыл бұрын
Great question, we have done a few things to improve the driving noise.You can adjust the roof vent above the stove till it stops whistling. We added felt pads in the cabinet doors wherever we heard rattling. Finally, the way we store the ladder, we had to add some thick felt pads between the two halves of the ladder. Unfortunately it's still not as quiet as a car and maybe that's to be expected. We do have to yell a little to talk to the back seat. I'd love to hear what everyone is doing to improve their driving noise!

Hi! I considering purchasing a Solis as a upgrade from my Eurovan camper, and I really appreciate your suggestions. Some I've encountered with my current van, but it's good to know what other issues I might encounter with the Solis. In particular, are your front area floor mats custom made? Where can they be purchased? Also, as a seasoned head-bonker, what material did you use for the head bumpers and where can it be purchased? Thanks in advance!!
@roadstoke8 ай бұрын
Glad I could be of some help and thank you for watching! Owning a camper van is not unlike owning a house, there’s always stuff to fix and upgrade. I like this format a lot, I put links to the floor mat and all of the other upgrades I purchased in the description. Safe adventuring!

Thanks! We’re planning on getting the Travato that I believe has the same faucets. I never understood why Winnebago didn’t update the faucets but this will work. Does this install as easy as screwing on or do I need something else for this to attach properly? Would this work with the bathroom sink fixture?
@roadstoke5 ай бұрын
@@monicae67 great question, typically you will first remove the original end piece and screw on the new end piece. If you choose to use pliers, use a cloth under the pliers to not scratch the finish. I always add some white thread sealing tape.
@monicae675 ай бұрын
@@roadstoke thanks! Do you think this will work with the bathroom sink faucet as well? Certain things that you showed were great ideas. This will be our first RV purchase so this video helps!! As for the water fill hose, I’m going to purchase the one you recommended but I was wondering if you know of any that would allow me to use the water panel and still be able to close the door. 😂😉

What front seat pads have you added and do you like them? Thanks.
@roadstoke9 ай бұрын
I appreciate you watching. I added some generic seat covers from Costco. They are fine, and protect the seat cloth for a season. I’m actually looking at something with a little lumbar support for my next cover.

I’ve had my PX for a few months now. The floor storage doors are a pain if you actually need access. The bathroom door is really a poor design. If you put the bed up you don’t have access to the cabinet above. The placement of the generator is absolutely ridiculous. The extra table under the bed is completely stupid, ditto for the slide out cutting board by the fridge. Space between the bathroom and kitchen galley is too narrow. Laminated cabinets are already starting to bubble and blister. Trying to like this rig but…..
@roadstoke Жыл бұрын
I feel your pain, this is all familiar. It may console you to know that I've used other class B brands out there that have similar problems and more! A custom build may be the answer? In fact I think these are good points for a "Solis Pain Points" video. We're still stoked on the Solis and my family that have other rigs actually regret not having chose the Solis believe it or not! Thanks for the comment!
@lmt10223 ай бұрын
A different take - I like the floor storage doors for things I don't use frequently. I like the bathroom door for separation. I also open the door and site in front to do my hair and makeup? And, I've used the extra table and cutting board many times. And, finally, I have had no issue with my cabinets bubbling as yet (even the Florida heat and humidity). Keeping my fingers crossed. I love this rig.

Can’t blow your tank by filling,
@roadstoke7 ай бұрын
I guess by blow out I mean the tank expands like a balloon and pushes out your cabinets like mine do. For those researching, Winnebago acknowledges the problem and there appear to be 3 versions of the tank and version 3 appears to be the strongest. They sent me a tank brace to install but it isn’t working to stop my v2 tank from ballooning. I’m in discussions with them on getting version 3, I hope. Unfortunately my tank blows out at 25psi and filling to only 3/4 full. I recommend buying the pressure regulator and never overfill the tank!
