I feel, your duty is to be active in external wars, protecting the integrity of the nation's boundary, and restoration of peace through warfare or dialogue but not to usurp jobs meant for the nation's Police or interfere in civil matters. There's a military coup currently in Nigeria where the military has taken over every job that has to do with civilians and worse still is their inability to get it rightly done.
