Hola! From Alabama! I’m on the road in my class C too! Love your vids:) I’ve been over that bridge many many times and didn’t stop, so thanks for the tour! Might mention, there is a ton of folklore about that bridge too.. people seeing apparitions of people who died there, a ghost woman walking it at night.. New Mexico IS the land of enchantment:) love it there! Safe travels to you and the babies ❤
@RoamTownGirl2 жыл бұрын
Ooooh. I did not know that!! Although, I'm not surprised because they DO call it the suicide bridge of New Mexico and at last count, 125 people have jumped off the bridge and a few more have accidentally slipped over the edge of the gorge!! And for leaving a comment - it can help the channel grow

@@RoamTownGirl You bet! Hang in there, seems like for some people, it’s quiet for a long time and then it explodes w subscribers.. I wonder if you are being missed because many people search for these channels w words like, RV, Nomad, I don’t know, just a thought.. cuz your vids are great! ❤️👍 I’m planning on doing a channel at some point and I won’t have those words either, mine is going to be Tammy’s Tours.. but I figure people who travel are always looking up things w the word Tour.. so they may find me then..

I remember heading west from Taos across expansive and flat desert land. I looked out the side window and I there was no land! Shocking. Didn't know the area. I bicycled back and forth the bridge, then continued driving. Memorable.

You are growing, I remember when you had maybe 1500 subs.....slow and steady growth is better than losing subs!
@RoamTownGirl2 жыл бұрын
I don't know if you recall the WHOLE story...back on July 19, 2020 I went to bed with 3,997 subscribers and expected to wake up the next morning with 4,000 subs - yeah! Instead, the day day my sub count had been purged down to 3,100??!! The only explanation that I got from YT was a boiler plate email informing me that they periodically scrub subscribers for bots and inactive accounts. Well, having only (almost) 4000 subscribers, that meant the wiped out 25% of my total subs, which decimated my channel and discouraged me beyond belief . It's been a long, slow, 2 year and 3 month climb back up to just have 3,671!! That is not much progress and thus began my love/hate relationship with KZbin!!

Thanks for another great and entertaining view. I do have to admit though that heights scare the heck out of me. I’m almost 59, but since I turned about 40, I feel this energy or something that seems to want to pull me off the edge when I get near or even see it on a video!😳 Please be careful!😊

Well, I'm glad I could show it to you from the safety of your screen! Be sure to spend more than an afternoon at the Grand Canyon- the average visit is only 90 minutes long! Check out the Bright Angel Trail- it starts right at the Kolb Bros Studio, and you can go down 1.3, 3, or 4.5 miles to each of three restroom outhouses. (But bring water- they are dealing with a pipeline break on the north side of the canyon.) You should plan to spend several days there, it's great!
@monkeysuncle28162 жыл бұрын
Oh, and take the 30 minute tour of the Kolb Studio while you're there- it's fascinating. (One of the Kolb brothers is buried in the cemetery next to the chapel. ) Make reservations for at least ONE dinner at El Tovar- totally worth it!

Joan you are too kind!! And thank you so much for your, much appreciated, words of encouragement! I just made a major investment (of time and $$) with some KZbin growth related folks, so hopefully that will help immensely. Perhaps this can help you to grow some too - an area that is suppose to "hot" right now is shorts. Check out Robert Benjamin on KZbin- he has a free course and an affordable mentorship program in that area. FYI - If you sign up for the free course - just wait a bit and he'll send you emails offering his mentorship program at a discounted rate of $50. I blew that one and paid full price :(

We plan on being in Taos in August. I’m terrified of looking down in deep water and gorges. So afraid I will stumble on the rocks and loose my balance. Wish me luck! Did you wish you had taken a walking stick with you?
@RoamTownGirl Жыл бұрын
No need to worry, you'll be fine 😊 Remember, I CHOSE to walk over to the edge (for content 😜), but the walking path itself, is a nice safe distance from the edge. And, I do recall that the path was a bit rocky and uneven, so I did need to watch my step. So, yes, I think having a walking stick is a great idea!! 😁👍🏻💡
